Chapter 71. Convinced
When the script reading began, all the actors and actresses were not looking at Ren with expectant looks but they were still staring at him.
They wanted to know if Ren can really pull off the role of Rei but many people still wanted Ren to make a mistake.
It was because many were dissatisfied that a rookie actor was playing a lead role instead of veterans like them.
'He will surely made a mistake.'
That was what many people were thinking in the room but some people also wanted Ren to play the role well as they don't want to hinder the quality of the drama.
They were the people who were true veterans who had worked in several movies and dramas, they were watching Ren with an interest in their eyes.
They just wanted Ren to do a okay job in playing the role of Rei but inwardly they were still worried as Rei was not a easy character to play.
But as the script reading session started, all the actors and actresses in the room had shocked face as they watched Ren's acting with wide eyes.
He was not overreacting even a bit, his acting was flawless like he was born to play the character of Rei.
Those emotions of hatred, love and longing were perfectly shown on his face. He was oozing Rei from his every breath.
His every gesture and expression was just right. He was perfectly grasping the emotions and showing it.
"He's a genius."
"Yeah, I don't think anybody can pull this role better than him."
"Hey, are the kids this scary these days, I hadn't seen this level of acting from a rookie in years."
"I think that he will not be just a rookie after this project."
The actors and actresses cheered when they saw this. All of their grievances were flown out after they saw Ren's acting.
'If it's this level of acting, then he can surely pull of the role of Rei.'
They were not angry or sad about Ren getting the role as they were convinced that Ren's acting can be the backbone of the drama.
Just like Chief Han had said, the best way to convince the actors and actresses was acting and that's what Ren did to convince them.
"I can pull off this role better."
A young actor said as he scoffed with a dissatisfied expression.
Although most of the actors were convinced by Ren's acting, there were still some young and immature actors who thought differently.
They still thought that they can pull off a better job than Ren. They were thinking like that because they were off the same age as Ren but the difference between them was too great.
They were jealous and envious of him.
"I think you are thinking too far ahead."
A middle aged actor said to the young actor.
"What do you mean? If I have time, i can..."
"Look at his hands carefully."
The middle aged actor said as he pointed to Ren who was busy acting in the centre of the room.
"What? There's nothing."
"Yeah, there's nothing in his hands. There's no script."
The young actor made a surprised expression when he finally understood what the middle aged actor was implying.
Ren had no script in his hands. It means that he has already memorised the whole script. That was an amazing thing as Rei lines were the longest and as the main character, he also has the most lines.
"When he's reading his lines, he didn't make any mistakes, it means that he had read the line multiple times already."
The middle aged actor looked at the young actor before continuing.
"Can you do that?"
The young actor didn't replied and just lowered his head.
The script reading session continued and soon, it was Xiao Rin's turn to read the lines.
The actors and actresses again started whispering when they saw that it's Xiao Rin's turn.
"Hey, isn't she the one who is playing the role of Yiren?"
"Yeah, she's in the same company as Xin Ren. What do you think her acting would be like?"
"I think it's at least on the level of okay as she passed the audition."
Although all the actors and actresses were whispering about her, no one was much interested in seeing her acting except Chen Mei who was staring at Xiao Rin with narrowed eyes.
It was because Xiao Rin scene was with Ren. She was waiting to see what kind of reactions the other actors and actresses would give after seeing it.
"I don't know what to do. I want my brother to hate me but it really hurts everytime I behave badly with him."
The scene started with Xiao Rin standing while mumbling to himself. She was currently having a internal turmoil as she contemplated over her situation.
"I don't want my brother to hate me but…but if I can't do that...he will surely be sad…..after I…."
She kept mumbling to herself as she showed contrasting expressions.
At one end, she wanted to play and talk with her brother but on the other hand, she wanted him to hate her.
It was a weird situation and the fact that she was about to die just made it a more depressing scene.
"Yiren!!!"
Just at that moment, Ren entered the scene as he shouted with all her might.
Before Xiao Rin could react, he suddenly hugged her without saying anything as he kept crying and crying.
It was scene just after Ren had regressed back to the past. That's why Ren was so happy to meet her dead sister again.
"Whhhat are you doing? You delinquent!"
Xiao Rin shouted with a flustered expression but Ren just kept hugging her as he kept crying.
"I, I missed you, Yiren. I, I will never lose you again, I promise. I really love you, don't…..leave me…..ever again."
"Why are you crying. Hey, is that blood on your face. What happened? Do you have another fight?"
Xiao Rin said as she tried to release herself from his grip but he kept on hugging her. He was showing a relieved and glad expression as he met his sister again.
"Yiren, I know I was a bad brother. I didn't listened to you and I did many bad things but...I, I really love you. You are my only family, so please don't leave me."
Ren said calming himself down somewhat as he looked in Xiao Rin's eyes.
"I, I, whattt??"
Xiao Rin was not able to understand the situation as she looked at Ren in confusion and shock.
The scene ended at that and the whole group of actors and actresses were not able to utter a single word but they all showed a shocked expression.
"Damn!! What was that?"
Suddenly someone muttered that with a expression that can't be described.
