Nora's hold on him tightened. She didn't expect him to speak so close to her. She flinched with his breath on his cheeks. Unconsciously she hugged him tighter to hide her face from him.
Parth saw through her reaction. Smirking a little he caressed her back and spoke. "I didn't mean to make you feel that way. I was just being protective of you because I can't see anyone hurting you, even if it's you."

"I saw the video given to me by Mike."
"..." Nora didn't say anything and let him continue.
"Remember when that girl mentioned me and Mike in her accusations... Remember how angry you got just because she dared to mention our name with her mouth? You got angry just by that. Think about me. How angry would I be when I saw you being disregarded by everyone. Just try to think of yourself at my place. Then you would know how ridiculous it sounds to us that you want to forgive the culprit just because she is a woman."
