"What do you want?" Nora tiredly asked her.
"I... Let's go for lunch together in the cafeteria. Everyone does that in our class. We can make new friends too." Shailey's voice had a hint of both her timidness and her excitement.
Nora tucked her cap low and answered politely. "Sorry but I have got my plans."
"What plans? With whom?" She right away asked.
"Sorry?" Nora got irked by her behaviour.
Shailey didn't notice the change in air. She audaciously held Nora's wrist and asked again. "You have got other friends in college? Can I join you? Your friends are my friends too."
Nora instantly shrugged her hand away. Distancing herself from her she didn't try to butter coat her words as she said. "I don't have friends. They are acquaintances, and you can't join them."
"Why? Why can't I join you?"
"Because I don't want you."
"Why would you say that?"
