Mike quietly looked at that girl. Her thoughts were straight and clear. Even after all she suffered from those losers she wasn't a bit affected by anyone.
She was not diverted from her belief of ignorance. She meant what she said. However... 'It won't be this simple'.
She might not be afraid of facing tough situations or some heart-wrenching circumstances but facing a man's true face is a different thing. Nora's heart is too pure to know such a part of human nature.
She doesn't know how much a person can stoop low just to get what he or she desires. For Nora everything is either white or black. But a man is capable of showing the different side of every colour with their dark intention.
"I am always here for you." Mike spoke slowly.
"..." She had nothing to say to him.
Giving each other one last meaningful gaze, both stood up.
"So shall we move?" Mike asked as he picked up his backpack.
Nora carried her bag too before wearing her mask and cap back again. "You move first. I need to go to the washroom."
"Ohh. Then I'll go first. I have got a class to attend."
"Hmm." From there both separated to go their own way.
...
Coming out of the washroom cubicle Nora went to the vessel sink to wash her face. However the moment she reached the vanity she saw through the mirror that three girls were standing in front of the other three cubicles staring at her.
At one glance she could tell that they were waiting for her. Her eyes darkened. She knew neither the intentions of those people nor their identity.
But even then she knew that their intentions were not right with her. And one more thing that she knew was that whatever the intention was, the reason was Parth.
As if she has not suffered much already in college, those girls had to follow her outside too.
She was about to turn around and talk to them when another girl came out of the other cubicle. This time Nora knew that person's identity. Her presence is not a good thing to her either. However Nora was a little confused to see that face after such a long time.
"Huh? It's you, Nora? Right?" Aka excitedly asked.
Because Nora's face was covered with her mask, the only way for Aka to recognise that face was with her eyes. It doesn't matter how many days have passed, Aka will never forget those eyes.
It wasn't just because of one incident that they had in class with Shailey, but also because of what had happened between Nora and Parth in the corridor.
That day Aks was in the crowd too. She also saw all what Parth wanted to show to everyone. However unlike others Aka's attention was more on Nora's expressions.
Where Parth was enjoying the whole show, Nora was uncomfortable. She wanted to push him away but something was stopping her.
If there was any other girl in her place, she would have been on Parth like a koala by then. However Nora looked and sounded all different.
For everyone it was Nora's desire to be close to Parth. But Aka saw what no one wanted to believe. It was all Parth's doing. Even in the end Nora was the one who left him behind.
What surprised Aka the most was when Nora held back that girl's wrist. Her moves mesmerised Aka. Where others were thinking about Parth, Aka was all about Nora all this time.
Nora's eyes squinted with tiredness. To her knowledge all she could see was that she has raised many enemies in college by now. Where one girl is after her because of Parth, the other one is after her because of Shailey.
All these days in college Shailey tries her best to stick with Nora all the time. Nora would have understood her intentions if something was going wrong with her. But in those days no girl came to harass Shailey. But even then she wanted to follow Nora.
Exhaling deeply Nora placed her bag on the counter as she asked. "What do you want guys?"
Aka confusedly looked at the other girls in the room. They were looking at Nora with their dirty eyes. That confused Aka.
Instantly getting away from their range she walked to the corner vanity counter before shaking her hands in denial.
"I want nothing. I don't know them. I am here with my cousin." Aka hurriedly explained herself to Nora. She didn't want Nora to misunderstand her.
Aka's reaction portrayed an image of cowardness to those girls. Ignoring her presence, one of the girls went to the washroom door before locking it from inside.
The girl standing in the middle of the group snickered before saying. "We don't have much to say but much more to do. We need to show our respect to those who try to act oversmart with our boys."
"Your boys?" Aka confusedly asked.
"Parth, Mike and Aman. They are someone who can't be touched by any filthy hand."
"But this girl here did not just break the first rule but also tried to play with our two boys at once."
"Morning Parth, noon Mike. Who does she think she is!"
"A slut or what! Catch her! Today we will show you how a slut must be treated. Don't even think about running away from here or else we will do worse with you."
"..."
"..." Nora and Aka both speechlessly looked at them. Nora finds their behaviour way too childish to react or reply even.
Whereas for Aka, she ridiculously laughed at them. Pursing her lips she talked back for Nora.
"Actually she hasn't moved a single step since then. On the contrary, I feel that she is waiting for you guys to do whatever you want. So please skip chatting and do something."
Nora's eyes were all blank. As Mike had said, she did not really understand why any girl or boy would behave like this for another boy with whom he had no concern or relation.
Do they have less reason to live their life that they want to live for someone else? They are more concerned with what is happening in someone else's life than their own.
But whatever happens, she did not go to them, those people themselves came to her, so whatever happens now, it is not her fault to begin with that.
"Are you coming or not?" Nora impatiently asked.
