Nora walked out of the restaurant. After all the fighting scenes she was exhausted by it. Her agility and nimbleness are good. For a fight she does good too, however she can't last long. She knows all combat moves but when it comes to her mental stamina she gets exhausted very soon.
On her way back she got a call from her brother.
"Where are you?" She asked first.
"Outside the school. Waiting for the cab." He informed.
"Cab? Why cabs? Where is your car?"
"The car broke down on the way. I can't wait for another car. So taking a cab."
"It's not safe. You are too young for such things. Wait for me, I am coming." Nora instantly denied his idea.
"Sister, I can handle this much."
"Do as i say Krish. Wait at the bus station, I'll be there in half an hour max. Don't move."
"...Okay." Krish obediently listened to his sister and walked back to his school bus station. Before hanging up the call he curiously asked Nora.
"Amm... Sister, are we not going back abroad for a while?"
"You want to?" She asked back.
"I want to. Even if it's for a day, I would like to." Krish honestly answered.
After coming back so abruptly to their country he missed his old friends back there. He wants to bid them goodbye personally and properly for once. He isn't sad about it because in vacations they would visit them from time to time anyway.
"Let's see. Will go back as soon as we get time."
It was not that she did not want to go back. On the contrary, she herself had a lot of work over there. She also had to meet a lot of people.
But because she's in college and her brother is still in school, their schedules for exams don't match much. She has to see everything before planning out such things.
"Okay. Come fast."
"You better not walk around. It's not safe."
"Yes ma'am."

Hanging up the call Krish passed the crossroad. Earlier when he called his sister he was already on the road to take the cab. But when Nora asked him to go back, he eventually followed her orders and walked back to his school bus station to wait for her.
Cars were coming fast. The boy crossed the road following the traffic lights. He was walking on the pavement calmly listening to his songs, when suddenly someone held his elbow and pulled him off the sidewalk before falling directly on the road.
Krish's heartbeat intensifies. He wants to get away from that man quickly, but as soon as he thinks of trying, he notices a heart-wrenching scene in front of him.
Right where he was standing a moment ago, right at the same place a bundled iron rod had just fallen in front of him. There was a difference of a few seconds, otherwise that rod would have fallen on him instead.
The pavement he just took was the one where construction work was going on. The footpath wasn't unsafe but the material which fell on the sidewalk came from a trolley which was passing by that road for that construction work.
If that man had not saved his life just now Krish can't even think what would have happened to him or to his sister. He can't even imagine that scenario for Nora.
Waiting not for a moment he hurriedly checked on the man who just saved him. However, that man had stood up long ago. He was standing there with his extended hand for Krish to take.
Seeing no injury on that man, Krish sighed in relief before taking that hand to stand up too.
The crowd started gathering around them. Everyone started asking about the condition of Krish and that man. But the man was staring at Krish with anger and saying nothing.
His stare scare his wits. The man didn't look older than his sister. But even then he had not been affected by anyone so much before.
For the first time, Krish was afraid of someone other than his sister. Krish himself finds his behaviour absurd. Everything was happening so quickly that he could not understand what was his mistake.
With a meek voice he gratefully thanked him. "Thank you so much. You saved me."
"Survived this time but what about next time? One must walk vigilantly on roads. And here you are busy with your headphones?" That man couldn't help but scoff angrily.
In an instant Krish realised what was his mistake. He did acted carelessly on the road. Looking down regretfully he apologised. "Sorry."
"Sorry to me? Be sorry for your parents. Where are your guardians?" He asked.
That boy by height did not look anywhere for more than ten years. Leaving children openly to such an unsafe world, at such a young age is not right. That guy's anger was more on Krish's parents than that child.
"She is on her way to pick me up. I was just going back to my school." Krish informed.
"Going back? It means you were out here bunking your school." The man's anger increased further.
"No! Not at all. I was about to take a cab but my sister told me to wait for her. So I was going back." Krish hurriedly explained.
Before the man could speak more, the trolley driver came running to them. "Are you guys alright? I am so sorry I didn't know that stuff would fall because of one turn."
-"One turn! Even a child could see that it was a sharp cut, and you still choose to not slow down before taking such a cut! You can forget about your driving licence now." One of the men from the crowd spoke angrily.
"What! You can't do this!"
-"Because of you this child was about to be severely hurt. And you still have the guts to talk back!" An old lady furiously spoke too.
"I can compensate."
"Compensate all you want. But in the police station. Veer can you take care of the matter here? I'll escort this kid to his school first." Parth spoke and signalled his secretary to take care of the rest of the work.
