After 13 hours...
"Sir...I...i don't think it's ri...right for you... to do this." Secretary stammered hard as he tried to convince his young master to go back with him.
"And you are going to tell me that?" The boy mockingly smiled as he asked.
"Sir, I didn't mean to offend you. But-"
"Then you shouldn't Veer. Now take care of my bags, I got a call to attend." Saying that, the boy stood up and left the lounge room.
Getting outside the lounge, he got busy with his call. Looking around the airport he walked towards the mirror and looked out of it.
It was already late at night. The weather was getting colder and colder. One might even desire to put on two jackets at once. However the boy's anger was keeping him warm all this while. He cares less about buttoning up his coat.
He put his hand inside his pocket and completed his call. Once the call was hung up, his phone started ringing again and constantly with a strange ringtone than his usual one.
Looking outside the airport, he watched the planes moving around. He did not even bother to look at his phone as if he knew who it was. His looks were deadpan, but his thoughts were running wild.
Sighing a little, he was about to leave the arena when he heard someone speaking loudly coming towards him.
He didn't turn, but the mirror showed the reflection of those people coming to his side. A girl and a middle-aged man running after her was the one trying to stop her.
When the girl stopped right beside him he thought of giving them space, but when he saw something, his footsteps stopped. Unconsciously, he halted for that look.
"Will you first stop! Let's talk okay! Please stop No-" Carter was about to call her when she finally stopped.
Nora, who was walking away, far from the exit door, finally stopped right in front of the mirror. Without turning her back to face him, she stayed silently there.
"I know you are scared. I understand. But now we are already here. You did well till now, I am proud of you girl. But now running away like this,... Sigh... if not today then tomorrow, but you have to go back."
She didn't reply to that. Her eyes were closed. She heard everything but got nothing to say. Her whole thought process was thinking about the roads she has to take. About the house, she has to live in. About the feelings, she has to go through.
Right now she is all away from her home. Being alone she might be able to calm herself but she knows that once she passes that threshold of the airport everything will be in front of her and at that time she will have no option but to face those things again. And she also knows that she is totally helpless and isn't that strong to face that.
Carter stayed quiet for her to calm, but his own uneasiness made him speak again. "You have got to say something."
Nora said nothing for the next ten seconds. After that, she muttered. "Get the plane ready."
"What?"
"We will leave tomorrow."
Carter's eyes widened. His mind instantly imagined his plan failing completely. In fear, his voice got louder as he asked. "What? You said we will stay at least for a week."
"No, we aren't." Nora instantly answered. "We aren't staying here at all."
Carter's eyes wavered. Sighing a little he smiled forcefully. "Girl, but we can't, actually you can't do this. Why would you-"
"Uncle, please. Let's not do any discussion on this. I don't wanna hear anything about this anymore" She abruptly stopped him from saying anything more.
Carter was speechless. He gritted his teeth. Nora's feelings weren't wrong, but right now Carter, a middle-aged man, was unable to understand a teenager's mind.
He got a little frustrated but having no control over her, he didn't speak again and simply asked. "Anything else?"
"We will stay at a hotel."
He fumed. He wanted to shout but tried his best to hide his anger but couldn't help his gritting teeth. "... You do know that you have a different mansion here to live right?"
"..." She didn't reply to his question. Of course, she knows. Even when she was just eleven, unknowingly she very well memorised her properties details.
She remembered each and every place with its memories related to her past. Instead of wasting her emotions on anything from the past, she would rather prefer to stay in a hotel and stay away from everything. And before any mishap could happen, she would go back to her usual life.
"Even if you don't want to go home, you still have an apartment and other bungalows to stay in."
"I don't want to go anywhere near any of my assets here." She simply replied.
"...Anything else?"
"I need time. Please go back to Krish. Take care of him. I'll be out in a minute"
