"Nice to meet you too. I'm Sonnet Evergarden. ", I smiled.
He pulled his hand back, retaining the smile which somehow felt fake this time.
Can't help, after all I was shy enough to shake hands even with a man.
Then another comrade introduced himself as well. Sir was introducing us to new techniques and gadgets which had evolved over years to bring about revolution in the Planet. All were enjoying the explanation keenly and were getting more and more interested in AI and other topics and were motivated to know more about it.
While more than half of the class was immersed in following the session, He continued staring outside the window, the sun rays were gleaming across his face and his hair swayed calmly. For the first time in my life I have seen a guy up so close other than my dad. He has wheatish complexion, good height, a perfect figure, and deep set black eyes. He even has a round face but with sharp features.
I asked him, puzzled at his lack of interest in the class, " What are you thinking? "
He was quite shocked and replied hastily, " Nature outside the window, hahaha" with a mysterious laugh.
I can clearly understand that he lied. I am sure of it. His eyes couldn't hide it perfectly. At that time I didn't even bother to know about it .
"Ok", and I turned in to dedicate my mind to the topics which Sir continued to explain.
The class continued.
Slowly the class ended.
I introduced myself and made new friends before the break time, that is, after the previous class got over . I befriended Lacy, one of my new friends' and the closest one to me. She accompanies me a lot and she has her BF. She shares her stories with me. And I listen to those as short stories of sweet and muddled love life. She never gets bored of telling it and I never get over listening to it time and again. Finally the break time had arrived.
I was having my lunch when all of a sudden he came and started asking me questions regarding physics. I explained it to him. He continued asking questions. Together we fought ,thought, taught and that was the time my nervousness gave way and I giggled heartily. I don't know what and how he felt but seeing him I guess he did enjoy it. He left and I continued with my work.
To be honest I have never experienced chatting with people, especially boys, so heartily. To be honest, I had completed my high school from " Girls Convent High '', and the name itself demands my natural shy nature especially in front of boys. I felt really happy as I was not at all alone on the first day. I finally really had someone with whom I could enjoy my time at college.
