In a certain internet cafe, Lucky Cucu is a man with blue hair with an intimidating look, finds himself walking, looking from here and there after renting a PC.
"Area 3 Number 47" Is his designated seat after the woman from the server desk tells him. . .the said man wanders for many minutes already, looking for a certain area, but he couldn't find it. Not until he saw a lady sitting there and is using it, cursing as she loses for a couple of times by now.
"hm? rent?" she asks. Somewhat nostalgic, a hidden question mark appeared above her head. She shook her head after feeling a little sense of deja vu.
But then after, the man...or rather, Cucu pulled down his front hair and covers his mean look hastily, nodded shyly thinking that she might get frightened if their eyes have met like the rest did.
Tilting her head after not knowing why he did so weirdly, she left the said seat. This time, she made sure to pulled off her Glory account card.
"Boss, still no improvement?"
"Shut up!"
As if this is a normal circumstance, the said boss--rather, Chen Guo cursed aloud replying to a man from the opposite monitor as if teasing her for being a noob.
Not because they established Happy and they'd received a big sponsor after becoming the Champion and created their Training Area and even for newbies training room---did Chen Guo forget not to take care of her deceased father's business through his blood and sweat. To be precise, this Internet Café. Even though Team Happy is now a professional organization, she till continue her business as an Internet Cafe owner, inspecting and sometimes, socializing to renting players.
After all, this is the only memento she received from her late father.
So with her selfish desire, in which others wouldn't dare to oppose as she is their Boss, she decided to expand her Internet cafe instead, and made only the first floor the renting area while the upper floors are for Team Happy's Training room, RnD, and so forth. In short, an area exclusive for Professional players. . .
Pocketing her hand after ascending towards the third floor, she tried sensing 'the cards' inside it and pulled them off one by one and checked on them, but. . .
"nay? nay nay! oh God oh God!" Chen Guo freaked out and almost cursed as her hearts pounded fast. She tried to descend again in stride and follow the route she walked off to but couldn't find the 'trial card' that the RnD tried their best to achieved.
"Whoa! whoa whoa!"
"Incredible!"
"A-a total prodigy!"
Frantic as she is, she heard a familiar cheering. It was the same situation where a certain man run havoc at the 10th server from the very first night it opened. . .
unconsciously, she looked from the outside and snowflakes are infinitely descending. . .
Deja vu? again? she thought, as if this scene is all too familiar just a few years back then.
But she didn't stop striding forward. . .and surprisingly--
"Boss, why in a hurry?"
"Oh Ye Xiu, you've arrived?"
Ye Xiu patted Chen Guo's shoulder and stopped her track. She wanted to ask him more, but her business, rather, the trial card is more important right now, so she didn't gave him her full attention.
"Why are you trying to stop me?" Is what she asks in confusion as Ye Xiu's hand is still latched onto her shoulder with unlit cigar sticking onto his lips.
"No, why are you trying to stop him by the way?" Ye Xiu returned the question instead after taking the cigar out of his mouth.
"Of course to take away 'that' card!"
"Hmm, what I mean is. . .isn't it the same reason why we created that card? For letting those who are 'qualified' to use it?"
Surprisingly, Ye Xiu's eye is still attached towards the monitor of the said man as the latter is fighting against five person inside the Cross Server PVP room. . .The same character that the Team Happpy's RnD are trying their best to create. A class next to Unspecialize Lord Grim. Or specifically, thanks to Luo Ji's theory and calculation.
The same card that Chen Guo wanted to take away after noticing the character Cucu is currently using
Thereafter, she followed Ye Xiu's eyes and stared at the man who is playing the said character and is responsible for creating masses of spectators watching his monitor.
"Deja vu, indeed" She murmur.
And yes, Cucu fought an opponent at the Cross Server arena. Meaning, all of his adversary is at max level, and not only that, majority on this server are likely skilled players. A level 80 skilled player isn't to be trifled with, afterall. . .
As for why he had that many opponent? Well, a battle junkie Cucu who wants euphoria through fighting against all odds starts it all. . .
Glory!
Not long after, a familiar word popped out of Cucu's monitor as his field of vision started to spread again as if woken up from his stupor; looking at his left, right and at his back. Eyes widened with surprised that he subconsciously pulled his front hair again, trying to hide his unbecoming eye. . .
But strength isn't measured through ones face nor demeanor but through his sheer ability and skills. In which, the audience woudn't mind looking at his face as they've trying to nail his face unto their mind. Although he didn't know these things right now.
After then, those who witnessed this scene gave him a couple of cheers, claps and whistles, and all but surprised of happiness.
They even clap their hands towards Ye Xiu and Chen Guo after noticing that the two are also watching.
"Amazing, to think Team Happy has found another treasure!"
"Congratulations Boss Chen!"
"Congratulations, God Ye!"
For loyal and frequent customers of Team Happy as majority of them is also a member of Guild Happy, it is quite normal to see Happy players and their rosters going from here from time to time as if fame and glory isn't following them.
So to these gamers, they really did thought that Ye Xiu and Chen Guo are showcasing and boastinf their new rising star rookie before the start of 12th season of Local Tournament who resumed after the World Cup. The perplexed Cucu turned down his head while beeting in red.
He isn't accustomed being encircled like this without malice nor fear. And so this first sensation, he did bear it unto his mind. . .
