Chapter 7 - Forever Bound

The young boy approached the sobbing girl, slowly shuffling towards her on all four limbs. When he reached her, she was still shaking with fright, unaware of his approach. The nonhuman child felt a great desire to comfort her, but didn't know how to. He didn't know what actions humans performed to comfort other humans who were unhappy... he had never thought about such a thing.

As he watched her shaking body and the tears that still fell, he leaned forward and licked her cheek. When she didn't respond to his lick, he licked her again, trying to lick the tears away.

The small human girl paused in her sobbing, and gazed into the eyes of the boy that was before her. In his golden yellow eyes, she saw no malice towards her. Instead, what she saw was eyes that were full of worry and kindness, and she knew that he wouldn't hurt her.

In that moment, as they gazed into each other's eyes, their faces just inches away from each other, a bond was formed. A powerful bond that would change both of their lives forever... a teary brown eyed human girl, and a golden eyed nonhuman boy would be forever bonded, connected by the unbreakable thread of something that ran deeper then just mere friendship.

Neither of them knew what it was that they felt. All they knew was that something special had occurred, even if they didn't quite understand it.

As she stared into his yellow eyes, so similar yet different from her own, her fear melted away, for she knew that she was safe. Though he looked frightening, he was no longer scary to her, because even though she didn't understand how she knew it, she knew without a doubt that the boy before her would protect her and keep her safe.

The young nonhuman child stared into the eyes of the human before him. He felt an urge to protect her, even though he wasn't sure why he felt that way since he didn't like or trust humans at all. He stared at her, studying her face, the shape of her eyes, ears, and lips, memorizing her features. Her energy was unique, seemingly average at first glance, but when he searched deeper he noticed the uniqueness of her energy, and he knew that she must be very special.

She, in turn, also studied him as well. The color and shape of his eyes... the color of his skin. The pointed shape of his ears, his lack of  hair, as well as his two fangs that protruded upwards past his upper lip.

Though she was no longer was crying, the human girl still had tear streaks that stained her face. The sight of it bothered the boy, so he leaned forward and licked her cheek again, trying to clean the tear stains that still remained off of her cheeks.

The girl was startled at his sudden movement, but smiled when he continued to lick her. Giggling, she threw her arms around his neck, startling him this time, and declared, "You name... Tee Two! You wisten to me now!"

Though he was startled at the sudden hug, he didn't pull away as he didn't dislike it. Inhaling her scent, he pondered her words, and at his strange, new name that she had decided to give him.

As he pondered her words and what she meant by them, the human girl suddenly vanished, leaving nothing behind except for her scent and a faint trail of her energy signature.
