Hi. I'm Nanami Rai. I'm just a normal student. Well, I guess I'm not that normal. What I mean is, I can change my gender from male to female. I have been able to do this since I was a kid, but other than that I'm just a normal student at Sakawara High School.
It was just a normal day at school. Everyone was racing to get to class on time. Once every student was in class, the same thing happened every morning. The teacher walks in and our Student Council President tells us all to rise and bow, but I don't. Too much of a pain.
This always ticks the teachers off. They always check to see if everybody is bowing. I don't know why, but they always seem to glare at me. Maybe it's because I'm the school's troublemaker. I do get in fights sometimes, but my grades are normal.
I don't even have to study. I guess that makes some students feel like I'm looking down on them, and sometimes the principal will try to have a student council member fall in love with me. Then once the student council member thinks I fell for them, they'll try and tell me what to do and how I should act. As usual, I'd glare at them and tell them I had already figured them all out, then watch as they ran away from me.
Always the same thing.
I looked up as the bell rang. "Eh? Second period already?" I murmured to myself as I gather my things and leave. "What's my next class?" I ponder. "Oh yeah! History!" I smiled and yawned. "Ah... I haven't slept for three days... I'm not sure why, but I feel like something is gonna happen today."
Someone ran up behind me and tapped me on my shoulder. "Eh? What is it?" I turned around and saw a really pissed off looking guy with some other students behind him, who I figured was his friends. Who the hell was he?
"Um, sorry, but who are you?" I asked, slightly confused. "Seriously?" he answered, looking a bit peeved I didn't know him. "Never mind that. Anywa-"
"Look. If you don't need anything, then I'm just gonna leave. I'm busy," I cut him off. He visibly grit his teeth and glared at me. Guess I just made him even more mad.
"Heh! Look who's lookin' down on us. Don't think just because you get better grades then us doesn't mean you're actually better." He turned to his buddies. "We should teach him a lesson. Don't ya think?"
By that time I had already walked away. Why does everyone think I look down on them? Behind me I heard one of the guy's friends shout. "Hey! He's gone!" "Eh?!?! Where did he go?!"
About time. Those morons finally noticed I left.
"Dammit! That stupid Nanami, We gotta find him again!" I heard the annoying one yell. Yeah, sure. Like they're gonna find me.
I started running down the second floor stairs while I smirked , but right as I turned the corner, I saw another student turning at the exact same time. Before I could stop, we collided into one another. The world turned as I fell past him and started rolling down the stairs. He tried to grab my hand, but was too late. I tumbled down the steps.
The student quickly ran down as soon as I got to the bottom and checked me for any serious injuries. "Hey! You alright?! I'm so sorry for bumping into you."
I blankly looked up at him, slightly dazed. He started panicking and looked around. I watched as he spotted a girl opening her locker nearby. He waved at her. "Hey!" he frantically called to her.Startled, the girl looked up. "Hm? What can I do for you?" she asked with a confused smile. "Sorry to startle you like that, but I need help. A student fell down a flight of stairs and I need to know where the infirmary is. Please help me!" Shio quickly said.
The girl took a moment to think with a slightly worried expression when she saw me. "I'm pretty sure it's on the fourth floor. Please hurry!" The student trying to help me quickly bowed to her. "Thanks!"
(SHIO'S POV)
I ran back to the student who fell and carefully picked him up. "Will he be okay?" the girl asked. "Don't worry. He'll be fine. I'll make sure," I reassured her before I started running back up the stairs. He stirred in my arms and groaned. I felt a slight pang of guilt for not being able to catch him in time, but brushed it aside and hurried to the infirmary.
Along the way, I saw a group of students ahead of me, blocking my path. I pushed past them, murmuring apologies as I bumped into them. Suddenly, a hand grabbed my shoulder and pulled it back, stopping me and pulling The boy out of my arm's, They gathered closer to take a look at Boy,
One of their faces turned into recognition. "Hey, guys," he called out to his friends. "This guy was carrying Nanami!, Wonder who beat him up! We gotta thank 'em."
"He deserves this after looking down on us!" After that they started to kick him and beat up as I watched in shock and confusion.
The boy curled up in a ball and covered his head with his arms in a pitiful attempt to stop the beating. It was in vain however as he got kicked in the stomach. His eyes shot open as he violently coughed.
"Stop!" I yelled as I pushed past them to Boy. Their piercing glares didn't affect me at all as I checked the boy's injuries. He had massive bruises everywhere from the beating he just got.
With my head down and my hair covering my eyes, I gently picked up The boy in my arms and ran off with him while the group was still surprised. As I was walking down the halls, I saw a teacher strolling by. Before I had even said a word to her, she had given the boy a look of distaste and walked away.
When we finally made it to the fourth floor, I slammed open the door to the infirmary. The nurse squeaked in surprise and dropped one of her bandage rolls. She turned around and gave me a questioning expression.
I flushed red. "S-sorry.... I didn't mean to startle you, but I really need help." The nurse kindly blinked at me. "It's alright," she gently said. "But what's the rush?"
I was about to answer when The boy suddenly started coughing and wheezing. He covered his mouth with the sleeve of the school uniform. The nurse rubbed his back soothingly until his fit subsided.
The nurse gave The boy a reassuring smile even though her eyes looked worried. She turned to me with a serious expression before gesturing to Rai. "I would appreciate it if you could help him clean up while I get an ice pack and some more bandages," she said. As I nodded, she smiled at me before exiting the room. Once the door clicked closed, I started helping Rai.
He let me pull off his jacket before turning to the sink and washing his face and arms. I went to the closet and fished out a spare school uniform. When I looked back, Rai had mostly cleaned himself off.
"Here," I said, handing him the jacket. "I don't know if this will fit you, but it was the only one I could find." Rai wordlessly slipped on the jacket while I watched in case he needed help. He fumbled with the buttons a bit, but when he finally managed to get it on properly, the uniform turned out to be too big on him so it looked a bit like a dress. I chuckled at the sight while Rai looked at me, confusion written on his face.
"What's so funny...?" he asked, oblivious to how large the jacket was on him. "Nothing," I replied, suppressing my laughter. Rai looked down at his lap. "Thanks for helping me even though you probably don't even know me."
I gave Rai a grin. "It's no problem. After all, we should help each other out at school shouldn't we?" Rai looked up at me, seemingly surprised. Then he smiled. "Yes, we should."
After a moment of a comfortable silence, I looked up to see if the nurse had returned. "Hm.... guess the school nurse isn't back yet. Either way, how do you feel?" Rai stretched out his shoulders a bit before replying. "I think I'm alright now," he murmured.
"Try to stand up," I said. Rai slowly rose from the chair before lurching forward. I took a step forward to help steady him as he grabbed the chair. After a few moments, Rai put his hand on my shoulder. "You can let go now," he hesitantly said. I nodded and let him go.
As soon as my fingers left his back, Rai's legs buckled and he collapsed again.
"Alright my ass," I sighed as I helped him up again and sat him in the chair. As Rai brushed off nonexistent dust off his uniform, the door clicked open and the nurse walked in. "I think you should take him home for the day. It would benefit him greatly," the nurse advised. Rai shook his head. "I can continue. It's alright."
The sweet looking nurse scowled at Rai. "You're not going to be able to continue your classes like that. You look like a mess and on top of that you have massive bags under your eyes. Now go home and get some rest. You can make up all your assignments tomorrow, alright?"
Rai sighed, knowing he wouldn't win this argument. "Fine," he muttered. The nurse smiled. "Get well!" she cheerily exclaimed as I picked up Rai and she handed him the ice pack. As the door closed, I felt Rai wave to her.
"So, uh, Rai~Sama," I said over my shoulder so he could clearly hear.
"Hm?"
"Which way is it to your house?"
"well first we have to get to the first floor and then we can talk about where my house is"
i nodded and we finally got to the first floor and i walked out of the building "hey now can you give me the directions?"
"yeah"
(RAI'S POV)
As the male student carried me on his back, I remembered something. "Hey," I murmured. "I didn't get your name earlier." The male teen stopped for a moment before looking back at me with a sweat drop and a faint blush. "Sorry! It's, uh, Kurama Shio," he grinned.
I almost chuckled at his slight embarrassment. "I'm Nanami Rai," I said, introducing myself as well as we continued down the path to my house. "Ah. Turn right here," I instructed. "And then left. My house is just on this street."
Kurama nodded as I nuzzled into his jacket. "Hey, Nanami~San," he quietly said. "Is it just me or did it suddenly get pretty dark?" Puzzled, I turned my face up to the sky. "You're right," I muttered. "It did get dark all of a sudden."
The familiar house of mine distracted me from my thoughts. "That's my house. Wanna come in?" I asked. Kurama smiled at me. "Sure. That'd be nice." I gave him the key and he walked inside with me on his back. Once indoors, he helped me sit down. "Thanks," I said, giving him a small smile. "No problem," Kurama said, returning the smile.
"So what do you want to do now?" I asked. Kurama shrugged to show he didn't care. After thinking for a moment, I decided we could just watch TV. "Are you a new student here?" I asked as he sat down next to me. Kurama nodded. "I just transferred here yesterday so I don't really have any friends at this school," he explained. "Got lost on my way to one of my classes this morning." I snickered a bit at that.
"Sakawara High is pretty big," I agreed. Kurama laughed. "Glad someone else thinks that, too." We both started chuckling at that before being cut off by the lights flickering. After a few moments, they cut out.
"Hey! Nanami~San, what's going on here?" Kurama asked. "Not again!" I hissed, looking around in the pitch black room. A red light flicked on and sounds wailed from outside my house's door. In a panic, I grabbed onto Kurama's arm.
"Hm?" he questioned, the dim, red light showing him turning down to me. "Are you okay, Nanami~San?" I flushed and hoped the scarlet light would conceal it. "Y-yeah... I'm o-okay," I said, internally cursing myself for stuttering.
(SHIO'S POV)
Instead of Nanami's familiar voice, a higher pitched female voice sounded next to me. I blinked into the dark then grabbed my phone and turned on the flashlight app. A girl wearing Nanami's clothing sat next to me. She watched me, squinting a bit to be able to see me past the bright light.
"A-a girl?!" I exclaimed as I jumped back and off the couch. She let go of my arm with a puzzled expression. In my phone's light, I saw the girl quickly look down and squeak in surprise. "Stop staring, Kurama~San~!" she squealed as her nimble fingers peeled off the uniform to cover her face with it.
I blinked in momentary shock before inching forward. "Nanami~San?" Her fuchsia irises peeked above the dark fabric as I gently put my hand and pulled it down. "U-um... yes. It's me..." she shyly said. I watched as she shrugged off the jacket and transformed back into the familiar face of Nanami.
"So, Nanami~San," I started. "Are you actually a girl?" Nanami flushed vermilion and waved his hands around wildly in a disagreeing movement. "No, no! I'm a boy, but I've had this ability since I was a kid," he explained.
"I-" My response was cut off by the scarlet light flaring up, blinding us both and making me drop my phone. The sounds outside reverberated louder than ever before the door splintered and crashed down. The marble red eyes dimly glowed as its leathery, ebony skin glinted in my phone's light.
"What is that thing?!" I asked in a hoarse whisper. "I don't know, Kurama~San," Nanami breathed before his eyes widened. "But it's coming right at us!"
(RAI'S POV)
The demon-like creature lunged towards us. "It's coming right at us!" I shouted at Kurama. Suddenly, faster than I could process, Kurama took hold of my hand and crashed out the window, pulling me with him.
"Let's go, Nanami~San!" he called behind his shoulder at me. I had no choice but to follow close behind. We ran through the surprisingly empty streets, the sky dark above us. At last, we turned the corner to find a fence standing in front of us, caging us in. Kurama quickly turned around and took a step back before flinching away.
A chill went up my spine when I felt the hot breath of the monster chasing us no more. "Kurama...." I whispered. "Any ideas on how to get out of this?" He was silent. "Kur-" I started, turning to him. My words were cut short by him pushing me out of the way. "Ack!" I grunted as I hit the hard pavement.
"What was that for, Kura- SHIO!" I cried, cutting myself off. He was suspended in mid-air, the demon's tongue wrapped around his leg. He gritted his teeth in a pained expression. My eyes caught his before gazing at his leg. Green liquid dripped from the monster's teeth onto Kurama's shin, leaving dark marks on his flesh and burning his uniform.
I sucked a breath in. "Acid," I muttered. "Don't worry, Shio!" I called. "I'll get him off you!" The monster stared at me with its cold, ruby eyes before lunging forward again.
My heart rate accelerated and I tumbled to the side, narrowly dodging the monster. I grabbed a broken pipe hanging of the side of the building next to me and lashed out at the demon. A second tongue flicked out of its mouth and knocked the pipe aside. I stared at my empty hands before looking up at the creature. It was a mistake. As soon as it caught my eyes with its own, I couldn't move. The scarlet orbs bored into my soul, searching me.
"Rai! Look out!" Shio called to me, his voice strained. My brain screamed at me to run, but my body stayed frozen with fear while I stared back at the demon's eyes. A long, slimy object coiled around me before it looked away. I gasped and heavily breathed in, looking down. The tongue was around me was around me. Before I could process what had happened, it lifted me and threw me against the fence.
"Agh!" I gasped as the wind got knocked out of me. I flickered in and out of consciousness as a soft green light in the shape of a leaf shone from the ground, a gentle breeze threading through my hair. The silhouette of a woman rose from the light, stiller than a statue. Then the shadow disappeared, revealing the woman wearing a determined expression. Her sharp, brown eyes stared at the demon with clear disdain before she started to chant.
"Mo'é val sìlan!" She mumbled under her breath, eyes closed and forest green hair rising as a strong sensation flooded my senses. It was calming, yet at the same time strong and solid feeling. My vision cleared as I watched the mysterious woman. A strange green hue surrounded me, gently holding me in place as I tried to move.
As I struggled to move, thick vines, that I can only assume were created from the spell, sprouted from the ground and weaved around the monster, locking it in place. It let out a deafening screech before thrashing around, carrying Shio with it. He lay limp as he was flung around, seemingly giving in to the monster's actions.
Suddenly, a brilliant, violet light burned through the ground, cutting through the pavement as it did so. Just like when the woman had appeared, a man burst from the aftermath of the smoldering light. His ebony hair waved around from the amount of magic power emanating around him. Red markings on his arms gently glowed as he started chanting as well.
"Kïklan del fül te'mïn..." he breathed out, indigo streams of light flowing around him. A spectrum of colors burst out and temporarily blinded me after he finished chanting. A bloodcurdling shriek pierced through the air, forcing me to cover my ears before slowly cracking open my eyes. On the concrete in front of me was the monster, cut right down the middle.
Shio groaned as the writhing tongue released him, sending him plummeting to the ground. "S-shio," I started, trying to move but still unable to because of the green glow. The woman glanced at me and narrowed her eyes at Shio before flicking her wrist, setting my muscles free. I instantly collapsed.
"Rai, are you okay?" Shio asked worriedly. I pushed myself up, an overwhelming exhaustion flooding over me. "I-I'm fine. How are you?" Shio smiled. "I'm fine as well," he murmured before touching a large bruise on my cheek. I flinched away before replying. "Don't worry!" I reassured as Shio quickly drew his hand away. "It only hurts a little bit."
"That's good," he replied with a relieved grin. "What should we do about these two, Kaoru?" the woman muttered to the male. "I'm not sure, Maki. We could explain what's happening here, but I think the issue first is that boy called Rai with the brown hair. The tongue from that one drained all his energy. I'm surprised he's still awake. No aura is emanating from him which means his heart must still be fighting. If this keeps on, he may die."
The one called Maki nodded. "You are correct. I have a solution."
(SHIO'S POV)
The two people that killed the monster walked over to us as I watched Rai space out. "Who are you two?" I demanded. They were silent as the woman knelt down and gently placed her hand on Rai's forehead. He looked at it, a confused expression adorning his face, before his eyes slid shut as she chanted another spell.
"Alvora sál vï tai," she quietly whispered. He slumped over into my lap, unconscious. "Rai?" I inquired. "Rai, wake up!" His eyelids briefly fluttered when I softly shook him, but he didn't awaken. "What did you do to him?" I demanded from the woman. She ignored my question and instead set her fingertips on my temple. I jerked away from her touch, but the man held me in place with my arms locked together.
"Yu ma kïla," she chanted under her breath. "Can you understand us now?" I gave a start at her words directed to me. "You speak Japanese?" I hesitantly asked. She shook her head. "My spell allows us to understand one another even if we speak different languages." As the woman was talking, the man loosened his grip on my arms. Noticing their guard was down, I gave a sharp twist and punched the man square in the jaw before pulling Rai closer to me.
"Ow!" he complained, rubbing his sore jaw. "Is that how you thank us after saving you?" I narrowed my eyes at him before responding. "I can understand you. Thank you for saving us, but you haven't yet explained yourself yet. Who are you? What's going on? I'm giving you this chance to answer now with me listening," I demanded, trying to sound tough.
The woman with viridescent hair chuckled. "A brave attempt to threaten answers out of us? We were going to explain anyway. I'm Katamaka Maki and the one you just socked in the jaw is Akibara Kaoru. We are what you'd call... wizards? We are Magic Wielders." I slowly nodded, soaking the information in. "Alright... but what did you do to him?" I asked, gesturing at Rai who was peacefully sleeping.
"He seemed to have had the last of his energy ripped away from him by that Yokai we just killed. He should have been unconscious when we arrived, but his body was still fighting to stay awake during that. Doing so could have been fatal, so Maki here put him in a temporary sleep so he can regain his energy. Don't worry about him. The kid will wake up in a few hours," the one called Akibara spoke.
"I see..." I murmured, finally realizing. "So if Ra-I mean-Nanami~San had stayed awake any longer he could have died?" Katamaka stood above me, her gaze cool. "Could? No. It would have been certain." A hot flush shot through my cheeks as I realized I had just attacked our saviors. My hands were suddenly waving back and forth in a panicked motion. "Ah! I'm sorry I punched you, Akibara~Sama!" I thought you had been trying to hurt Nanami~San!"
Katamaka smiled kindly down at me. "It's alright. I would have done the same thing in your place. But, if you come with us, we can explain more." I almost said yes before hesitating and looking down at Rai before glancing back at the two waiting expectantly for my answer. If Rai is okay, then it should be perfectly fine to go with them, right? Coming to a decision in my mind, I slung him over my back.
"Alright."
Akibara and Katamaka shared a glance. "Very well then." With a flick of his wrist, Akibara summoned what looked like a portal made out of white beams of light. The two of them glided through it. Glancing momentarily at Rai, I quietly sighed and followed after.
In the brilliance of the light, I failed to notice the world changing right in front of me until it had faded away. I blinked open my azure blue eyes to unveil a village. It looked nothing like Japan. There were building as if we were back in the mage erra (Insert stuff about once you have more info :DDDDDDDDDD)
The people there also read floating books instead of being on their phone like many students in Japan. But, what really caught my eye was the massive building sitting in the middle of the town.
What was this place?
Looking around, I saw their clothing greatly differed from ours. Akibara's ruby eyes gazed at me before realizing how strange my clothing must have looked to the villagers. Sure enough, a few were staring at us waltzing through the street. He looked at me up and down before mouthing something that looked like another chant. My confusion must have been evident on my face because Akibara pointed at my clothing. Looking down, I realized I now wore a totally different outfit, fitting me in with the village folk nicely.
I was now wearing a crisp, white shirt, covered by a dark blue cloak with a high collar. A large sapphire was over the clasp that held the cloak in place. My jeans had been replaced by black pants, held up by a brown belt with an odd symbol resembling a bird. Instead of sneakers, my shoes were caramel colored, leather boots with many buckles. Looking over at Rai, I noticed he wore the same thing.
"We're here."
Katamaka's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. Looking ahead, I realized we stopped in front of the massive building I saw earlier. A large sign hung from the entrance.
"Magicka Academia..." I read aloud. "Where are we?" Katamaka had a light smile on her face. "We are at the academy for Dragon Tamers, Familiaries, Demon Slayers, Elementalists, and many more. They train Magic Wielders to control their powers for whatever goal they pursue." I slowly nodded in understanding.
Akibara smiled in agreement. "To go into more detail, there are specific classes for a specific type of Magic Wielder. Dorms are also arranged by that type. There are only two students that have their own dorm, while all the rest share. Mainly because the two are opposite gender and the only two students in a class. The main goal here is to train everyone to kill monsters like the Yokai we just killed."
I blinked in slight shock. "Wait... are you telling me there's a ton more monsters and types than the one we just dealt with?!" Akibara gave a slight nod. "Correct," he answered nonchalantly. "There are different categories for the different types of monsters. We have the weakest, aka the D class or Weikráa, the more advanced class, aka the C class or Raikïne, the middle class, also known as the B class or Salapür, then there's the second strongest class known as the A class or Valéron."
My mind worked to remember the information given to me. "What about the strongest class?" Akibara and Katamaka's gazes darkened. "The strongest," Akibara murmured. "The worst of all classes. Class of the Emperor and Empress. Out of all the monster classes, these monsters are the strongest. There are only a few of them, but countless people have died trying to kill them."
My eyes were wide as I heard him. "Died?" He nodded somberly. "Great Magic Wielders have tried. Our goal is to rid our world of them. That's why this school was created," he explained. "I think I get it now. The question is why are Nanami and I here?" Akibara watched me in silence before speaking at last.
"You'll find out later."
Katamaka opened her mouth like she was about to explain more before a young boy around ten years old ran up to her. A dragon with maroon, leather skin had a mouthful of his blonde hair. "Katamaka~Chtöt!" he called to her, an excited and hopeful expression adorning his cute face. "Can you help me learn how to tame Shima, please? He won't listen to me!"
She looked hesitantly at him before sighing. "Ah... alright," Katamaka gave in. "Yay!" the blonde grinned up at her. "Thanks, Sensei! I was sent to tell you we also need help with a Familiar class training if you can do that too," he said, slightly bashful. Katamaka laughed. "Oh, alright. Which class?" The kid's expression brightened even further. "Room 301! I'll take you!" I heard Katamaka squeak in surprise as the blonde grabbed her hand and gently pulled her along.
Watching those two, I couldn't help but chuckle a bit. I glanced sideways at Akibara and flushed a bit when he caught me looking at him. "Well then," he sighed, raking back his hair. "I didn't catch your name." I gave a start. "Oh! Right! Sorry, I forgot. I'm Kurama Shio." Akibara watched me with his piercing red eyes before slowly nodding. "Alright, Kurama~Tobé. What about your friend here?"
I stole a look at Rai who was still slumped over my back. His peaceful expression was soft and innocent looking even after our battle with the demon. "His name is Nanami Rai. I just met him today so I don't know if he thinks of me as a friend."
Akibara nodded. "I see. Well now, that seems to be taken care of. Now let's check on those wounds of yours." I bobbed my head in agreement. "Right!" As we walked up the stairs, someone crashed into me and made me lose my balance. I tried to regain it, but the ground came rushing up to hit both Rai and I. At the last second, I quickly turned my body so I would absorb most of the impact and hugged Rai to my chest.
"Dammit!" I hissed when my back collided with the cold tile. Ol wound so it's not major at all. How about you?" The girl gave a small, relieved smile. "I'm not the one bleeding, so I'm fine. Thank you for asking."
Shio nodded as he helped me stand. "That's good to hear," he said. The black haired man started to guide us up the stairs, but the girl stopped him. "Can I at least help you a little bit?" she shyly asked. Shio looked surprised and looked at the strange man next to me. At his small nod, the girl's expression brightened.
"I'm not too good at healing magic yet, but I can at least heal any bruises or small cuts you have," she informed. A faint yellow light flowed from her fingertips and surrounded our bodies. After a moment, I felt my energy restored and some cuts and bruises disappeared. With a deep breath, the brunette stopped the healing light and opened her eyes. "I hope that helped," she beamed.
Shio smiled at her again. "Yes, it did. Thank you very much for that." "You're welcome!" she chirped back. "Now ha-"
"Kiyoki~Tobé."
A cold and hushed voice from the top of the stairs drew our attention away. The sharp yet quiet authority was quite obvious. We all looked up to see a sophisticatedly dressed, white haired male. His golden eyes pierced into my soul with his undecipherable expression. The girl named Kiyoko burst into a dark blush with slight worry in her eyes.
"Y-yes, Weiss~Sakái?" she stuttered. "You're tardy," the one named Weiss hummed. Kiyoko let out a breath she had been holding. "I-I'm not in trouble...?" she tentatively asked. Weiss raised a fine eyebrow. "Not with me, but I doubt Xella~Yöuna would tolerate tardiness. You may want to hurry to class."
Kiyoko paled. "You're right! I'm sorry and thank you, Weiss~Sakái!" With a wave and bow, she ran off to her class and left. The black haired man gestured for us to follow him back up the steps after the sound of her footsteps faded away.
"Kïrasá, Weiss~Tàyto," he greeted the golden eyed male. "Kérasá, Akibara~Vernï," he returned with a graceful bow towards Akibara. With a nod to me, Weiss turned around and walked away. An air of royalty and class seemed to surround him wherever he went, evidently in his walking style as well.
"Sorry I made us fall, Rai," Shio apologized, snapping me out of my trance of watching Weiss. "Are you alright?" I nodded. "I'm totally fine." As we reached a particularly larger set of doors, the man stopped. "Delfné tül ïnfümüra. Wakï tèn Akibara Kaoru tak jarüf wakï ülf tak Kurama rüy Katamaka Maki."
I blinked.
"What did he just say?" I asked Shio. He looked down at me. "He said that we arrived at the school's infirmary and his name is Akibara Kaoru. He and Katamaka Maki, the green haired woman, saved us from that demon thing." I nodded in understanding before hearing a sigh from Akibara. "Shiytz. Waèma täl Maki eut qués'aï balïfà," he muttered.
Shio laughed. "It's alright, Akibara~Sama. I can translate for Rai until Katamaka~Sama casts that spell that lets us all understand each other again." Akibara nodded. "Kalkü. Yüma Kurama ka Nanami ïnfümüra tak ralsï ümprà."
Shio nodded and guided me inside the infirmary as Akibara closed the door behind us.
