It's been a few months since Umi took over her Grandfathers businesses. But weird events have been happening recently.
First, Umi's Uncle Kage and his wife were found dead in a ravine. The cause of death was bullet wounds right in the center of their foreheads. The suspect is thought to have been a professional.
Umi nor her grandfathers were sad over their deaths. Umi knew that they had set her up to date Feng and for him to push her overboard. So she didn't feel much sympathy.
As for her grandfathers, they were actually quite happy they were dead. Gave them two fewer enemies to worry about.
~At the Sen family home~
A discussion was being held in Elder Sen's private office. The old men, Elder Sen and Elder Gin, were discussing the best ways to deal with covering Elder Gin's son and daughter-in-law's passing.
"They got what they deserved if you ask me," Elder Sen states, eating a tart. "You sure you want to hide it?"
"Hm~, yes, I don't want it to get any more attention then it already has," Elder Gin sighs, sipping his tea. "Also now we have a few less enemies to deal with."
"Right right, if we ever find the person who did it I want to thank him personally," Elder Sen chuckles. "On another note, it's your big birthday banquet soon right? You going to attend this time?"
"Ha~, yes, Umi with be there and I don't want to leave her alone against so many of her Adversaries," Elder Gin sighs, setting down his cup. "It'd be suicide."
"Agreed, I'll go as well, just to be safe," Elder Sen nods.
~Up in Umi's room~
"Ugh~, I don't have anything that really fits me anymore and that would go with the theme, it's Space and Galaxy" Umi complains, collapsing onto her bed. "Now I don't have anything to wear to Grandpa Gin's birthday!"
"How about you go shopping Young Mistress," Moché, Umi's personal maid and new best friend, replies.
"Moché, what did I tell you about calling me that what we're alone," Umi sits up gazing at her friend. "You're my best friend, you don't have to be so formal."
"Ah sorry You- I mean Umi," Moché stutters, lowing her head. Umi can't help but laugh at her friend's bashfulness.
"Haha, don't worry you'll get used to it, but anyway, that's a good idea," Umi rises from her bed. "Come on, let's get you changed."
"Huh?" Moché lifts her head in confusion, as Umi throws a dress at her head.
"Get dressed, you can't go out wearing your maid uniform," Umi replies elegantly, getting out of her pajamas.
They change into some expensive sundresses and Umi drags Moché out to the mall.
As they walk around, they pass a jewelry store and Umi spots a pretty star necklace. She stops Moché and they enter.
The female worker spots them and smiles greeting them. She could tell that even though the slightly taller girl, Umi, is just wearing a simple sundress. It's of good quality and the aura that she gave off was very elegant and that of royalty, but with a tint of kindness.
The worker goes up to them and asks if they need assistance. Umi asks about the necklace and the woman gets it out and shows her.
"Would you like to buy it, it also comes with a matching hair ornament if you are willing to pay a bit more," She explains, showing the beautiful matching Kanzashi. Umi just nods and takes out her gold credit card her grandpa's got for her. The worker quickly takes it and uses it to pay for the two items.
She hands it back along with a bag of Umi's merchandise.
"Please come again," she waves as they leave.
After that, Umi drags Moché to a high-end boutique. Owned by her godmother, Maria.
Immediately on entry Umi spots a beautiful strapless white gown with different color spots that represents stars. It's from Maria's latest designs.
They go over and ask the employee there it's price. Then suddenly another girl with two men come and ask for the dress.
"I'm sorry but I already asked for it," Umi explains, expressionless, turning back to the employee, who is starting to sweat.
"But I want it," the girl complains, the whole store looks at her with pity. Because it is a known fact that Maria Bomus absolutely despises whiny customers.
Mrs. Maria comes right out of her office and over to the whining girl.
"I don't like commotions in my stores, get out and Mr. Montellas put this girl and her friends on my blacklist banish her from all my boutiques," she orders, and the girl's dragged out by the two men. Mrs. Maria apologies to everyone and then turns to Umi. "I'm sorry for the inconvenience."
"Not at all," Umi replied, smiling. Mrs. Maria recognizes her voice immediately. "Hello, Aunt Maria."
"Koko'er, " Mrs. Maria gives Umi a big hug. "It's been too long, you need to come visit me more often."
"Okay," Umi agrees then turns to the employee. "Can you put this dress in a bag please, I'll pick it up at the counter. Thank you."
The guy just nods and quickly does it, and is about to leave when Mrs. Maria stops him.
"Just put her tap on me, " she commands, he nods again and hurries off.
"You don't have to Aunt Maria, I can pay for it myself," Umi explains.
"No, let me, I don't offend get the opportunity to buy you anything, take this as a little gift from me," Mrs. Maria smiles.
Umi just gives in and Mrs. Maria helps them pick out a dress for Moché. Once that was done, they look at shoes.
Umi picks heels that are covered in rhinestones. Like her dress, it's primarily clear ones with the occasional colored ones.
Moché decides on plain blue flats, she has a big thing against heels and flats are the best alternative.
Once done they get Aunt Maria to drive them back to the Sen house. Umi tells her driver.
They all go in and help each other get ready, having a girl's day.
