Charles's hand was on the driving wheel. His body faced her while his eyes stayed on the road. Charles was confused about why she asked it. Nor did he figure out what her intention was. All he felt was how terrible Avery looked.
Charles looked at the side of her face and answered, "Apart from plastic surgery, there's makeup."
Avery shook her head, hearing the word makeup. He didn't wear makeup. And if he did, how could he look like a different man? Was it makeup for special effects?
