"Well done for closing the deal with Mr. Xing," the man in Armani suit sitting in a lavish swivel chair behind his desk praised his two men. "You've been doing well with the dealings. You didn't let me down, boys."
"Thank you, Boss," GD replied with a smirk.
"Since you guys did well this month, I thought that it's only fair if I give you some presents."
"I don't use drugs," TOP stated with a straight face.
GD gave TOP a pointed look. A dark chuckle escaped from the man's lips.
"A dealer who doesn't use," the boss said while chuckling. "This boy is hilarious. GD where did you find this kid anyway?"
"Streets. He's homeless."
"Ah, homeless," the man sighed as he studied the two boys in front of him. "I was once too. At the age of nine, my father saved me."
They both knew that he was not talking about his biological father but the man who used him as a delivery boy for drugs. Father is what they call him, he was the Father of Drugs. And later on, when Father passed away, their Boss continued all his dirty works.
"Do not worry, I am not talking about drugs," Boss said as he threw GD a key.
"What is this key for?" GD asked.
"You'll know when you get there," the man gave them a smile. "Your next assignment will be next week." He signaled them to go. They're dismissed.
TOP and GD bowed and left the dark office. They kept walking and passed a hallway until they reached the elevator and got in.
"Heh! Next time just lemme talk, yeah?" GD said as he loosened his red tie.
"Whatever. I'm out of here," TOP answered when the door finally opened.
They walked out of the building. It's dark. Probably seven in the evening.
"Hey! Hey man, where are you going?" GD blocked his path. "We still need to see this!" He held the key in front of TOP's face.
"Figure it out yourself," TOP said as he slapped GD's hand away.
"Aww. Too bad 'cause I'm takin' 'ya," GD smiled.
A black Mercedes suddenly stopped in front of them. A man in a black suit, they recognized as their Boss's chauffeur, bowed to them.
"Please, get in," the chauffeur said to them. "Boss's order."
GD pushed TOP inside the car. The chauffeur closed the door before TOP could protest.
"He's takin' us to our gifts," GD smiled happily.
"You should have just let me go GD," TOP growled, obviously pissed.
"Take a fucking chill pill, will ya?"
After twenty minutes, they finally stopped in front of a grand and luxurious hotel. The chauffeur once again opened the door for them. They went out of the car.
"Enjoy the rest of the night." The chauffeur bowed to them after closing the door.
"Let's go," GD dragged TOP inside the hotel.
They asked the receptionist if there was a reservation for them.
"Yes, there is a reservation under Mr. GD's name," the lady smiled. "Room six-oh-six, twenty sixth floor, Sir."
GD dragged the unwilling TOP to the elevator. He pressed the twenty-sixth floor button. In seconds the door opened and they came face to face with room six-oh-six. GD opened the door using the key he got from their boss. The room was covered in darkness. GD flipped the switch on and they were blinded by the light. It was a suite. They entered the room and saw nothing and no one.
"Well this is weird," GD said as he scratched the back of his head. "I was expecting some action 'ere."
"Maybe he gave this to us since I'm supposed to be 'homeless'," TOP stated.
"Yup! Yer a homeless fellow who doesn't smoke weed," GD answered as he rolled his eyes.
A noise came from one of the doors inside the room. They both stopped and turned their heads to the door.
"The hell…" TOP whispered.
"Gun," GD said.
"Shit!" TOP cursed.
They held their gun and kicked the door open. They froze at what they saw. This is not what they were expecting to see.
"Hey baby," a girl purred.
"What took you so long baby?" asked another.
Two brunette models wearing nothing but see-through lingerie with nothing underneath greeted them. They were seductively dancing and grinding with the two-bed posts.
"Hell yeah," GD mumbled smiling.
"Come here baby~" One of them motioned her finger to GD who excitedly obeyed like a good puppy.
They started making out. While the other brunette fixed his eyes on TOP. She walked up to him while swinging her perfect hips.
"You look tired~" The girl encircled her arms to his neck. "Let me do something for you baby~" she whispered in his ears.
The moaning of two persons awakened him from his trance.
"Fuck shit," TOP harshly took her arms off him and walked out of the room.
"Hey!" he heard GD called him.
TOP didn't turn to look back.
"Fine! More for me then, come here babe~"
TOP closed the door with a loud bang. He immediately got inside the elevator wanting to escape from the whole scene. He let out a long sigh.
'Shit' he cursed yet again.
The elevator door opened and he walked out of it and out of the building. After a long ride with the bus, he's finally in his city. He walked down the road leading him to his new apartment. His new apartment was nothing fancy. A small living room, one bedroom, one bathroom, and a small kitchen.
He gulped down a glass of cold water and wiped his mouth using the back of his hand. He sat down on his sofa and grabbed the remote of his thirty-two inches flatscreen TV. He can't stand the silence in the room so he flipped it on and absentmindedly stared at the screen.
He scanned his apartment. He could afford something bigger and fancier than this place but being in a syndicate and playing the role of someone who's supposed to be homeless, he didn't want to risk it. And besides, he likes it here. It's his new home. It's not big, but not too small for him either.
Aside from that, it's a three-minute walk from her house. Her face automatically flashed in his mind. His Miracle. The sudden mention of her name crushed his heart.
'I tried to kill myself.'
Her words haunt him. Stab him. Kill him. He didn't expect this to happen to her. She's with his most trusted friend. Red's supposed to be there for her.
'Fuck my life.'
His cellphone rang. He took his phone out of his jacket pocket and read the name of the caller.
Kyo||
He accepted the call and put his phone beside his ear.
[TOP]
"I told you not to call this number unless it's something important."
[Naisip ko lang na baka gusto mong malaman kung nasan si Sam.]
That automatically caught his attention. "Where is she?"
[Umalis ang Geo Class nila. Nasa Mt Banahaw sila para sa Tree Planting.]
"Alright."
[Hindi ko na sya masusundan pa roon. May thesis akong ginagawa ngayon. Pupunta ka ba?]
There was a long pause before TOP gave him his answer.
"Thank you for telling me."
He tapped end call and placed his phone on the table.
'She should be safe there. It's a sacred place after all.'
