After school, Arata was very happy. Since that morning he had been more lively and awake. He was smiling constantly and had a more warm and welcoming aura around him.
The day went by in a flash and the dismissal bell had finally rung. Arata gathered up all his supplies off his desk and placed them in his bag. He slung his bag around his right shoulder and began walking out of his classroom.
He walked down the crowded halls very excited for his plans with Tamaki. He wanted to skip and run through the halls from excitement, but as much as he wanted to, he couldn't since he didn't want to make a fool of himself.
As he walked, he saw Tamaki slowly walking in the hall that was perpendicular to Arata's. Though, the boy didn't have his usual upbeat and happy expression. He was slouching and looked sad and very stressed.
'Is he okay?'
Arata jogged and maneuvered through the crowd and shouted, "Hey, Tamaki!"
Tamaki turned his head and put on a fake smile, "Hey, Arata!"
When Arata saw the smile he was filled with worry. Even though he was smiling, his eyes had an obvious look that something was wrong.
"Hey, are you alright?"
"Huh, yeah what makes you say I'm not alright?"
"Well, when I saw you walking a bit before, you looked anxious and stressed. And even though you're smiling now, your eyes still say something is wrong. So, can you tell me?"
Tamaki looked down to the floor and his smile disappeared. He said, "Fine, I will but not here. Come with me."
Tamaki grabbed Arata's hand and dragged him outside of the building next to a pillar. There was very few people around.
Having Tamaki's hand around his own, made Arata feel warm and tingly. Tamaki's hand was warm and rough. It was obvious that he lifts weights and works out a lot.
Arata's face turned pink as he was dragged by Tamaki.
Soon, Tamaki stopped walked and let go of his hand. He turned and faced Arata. However he didn't look up at him at all.
"So, what's wrong? Why did you bring me here?" Arata asked.
"I-I messed up. On my last math and science tests I did very bad. Because of all my sports and activities I do I didn't have enough time to study since many events all fell in the same week. Even on the weekends I had no time. I was so exhausted day after day and so I completely messed up. They're both letting me do make up tests two days from now. So....I'm sorry but I can't go with you today."
Tamaki's eyes had little tears in them when he finally looked up at Arata. Which he found cute, but it also pulled on his heart. The sight of him made him feel a stinging pain in his chest.
Arata looked at him and wrapped his arms around Tamaki. He placed his hand on the back of his head and said, "You don't have to. I can help you study today if you want."
Tamaki smiled and returned the hug, "Thank you."
When Arata let go Tamaki wiped his face with his hand, "I don't even know why I'm putting this on you and telling you this when we've only just met, but something about you is so warm and comforting. I'm sorry."
"It's alright, I'd be glad to help."
Arata looked up and saw Tatsuya and Minyul standing in the window. He thought, 'What are those two doing?'
Tatsuya spotted him and the two made eye contact. Then, he tapped Minyul and both were looking towards Arata and Tamaki. Then, what they did next really embarrassed Arata. Tatsuya and Minyul kissed then mouthed, 'You can do it,' to him while holding big thumbs up.
Arata glared at them, his eyes had the look of him saying, "Leave now."
Then the two continued to walk down the hall and left.
"Huh, what are you looking at?" Tamaki asked.
"Oh nothing, come on."
Arata smiled to Tamaki and walked with him to the stair case to study. Though a thought in the back of his head nagged at him, 'The reason why he feels comforted next to me isn't for me. It's because I'm a former angel. That's the only reason he said I'm warm.'
The thought made him falter, but only for a second. He then continued on as if nothing was wrong.
The two sat down near the stair case and both grabbed out their notebooks. They both opened them to the section they were currently learning for math.
Arata asked, "What do you need help on?"
"Well, I understand the concept, but I keep getting confused when to use this and this, and I keep doing something wrong in step five."
"Oh okay, here Ill walk you through then we can do practice problems."
"Alright let's do this."
For the next couple of hours, the two worked together. Solving problems watching informational videos, doing little quizzes, and more.
Soon, they were done and the sun was already starting to set.
"Thank you so so much! I understand it so much better now. Thank you!" Tamaki shouted. He hugged Arata while repeatedly thanking him.
Arata returned the hug, "No problem, you're welcome."
The two packed up their things and walked to the school entrance. Tamaki smiled, "Again thank you so much! I'll be able to do good on my test now."
"Don't mention it. Will I see you tomorrow?"
"Of course," Tamaki waved, "Bye!"
"Bye!"
