Ari and Sin had returned to the Warden's estate, Sin had considered going on a quest but after seeing how excited Ari was he didn't feel it was appropriate. Excitable was bad on a quest, one would be too eager to to complete it and end up making a mess of the situation.
"Ari, would you like to explain what happened today" demanded Sherri looking at the girl through narrowed eyes.
"What are you talking about mom" asked Ari as she hadn't done anything.
"You blew up another party" raged the woman causing Sin to speak up.
"Actually I blew them up" stated Sin with casual tone.
"Why would you do that" demanded Sherri wires dancing from her hair crazily.
"Because they tried to hit me with a spell while my back was turned" stated Sin as if it was common sense.
This time the woman stopped and so did her wires.
"They attacked you first" asked Sherri clarifying.
"Yeah, I got some new ammo from it too" stated Sin presenting the blue crystal looking object.
Sherri seemed to stop her nagging at that point as she left the room where her screaming soon began taking place again. Sin wondered why the hell she was screaming in the other room but the question was answered when a familiar looking group walked out scorched and covered in soot.
"Oh how petty, couldn't beat me using your earlier schemes so you went even lower." scoffed Sin before his eyes narrowed, he didn't like people like this. It reminded him too much of his previous party.
"I hope we meet outside the city soon" whispered Sin just loud enough to be heard by them as they walked by causing them to freeze.
"Be safe while your out" called Sin aloud causing the group to move a bit faster.
Ari just glared at the group unable to believe they had gone this far, she looked towards Sin who had more than hate plastered in his eyes and mentally shivered. She was curious to why he could go from friendly to cold so quickly, she wished to ask but she didn't want that gaze put on her and thus remained silent.
"So why can't we go on a quest today" asked Ari again causing Sin to sigh.
"Your too excited" stated Sin walking past the girl.
"Yeah and you should be too" called Ari seemingly upset with the lack of emotion.
"If you go in to a quest as excitable as you are now then it will only spell failure or even death for the both of us" responded Sin causing Ari to fall into silence, this was indeed what had happened and lead her to being nearly blacklisted before she had even graduated the Guild academy.
"Besides, I am old fashioned when it comes to doing quests. I don't like all this new luxury to being an Adventurer, takes the bravery and valor from the whole thing. With that said I got to find a shop that sells some specialized things" continued Sin figuring he might as well go and search for one, though he didn't know how well that would work seeing as he had been locked up for so long.
"You can check out some shops through the Quest finder, it has a bunch of useful features made to assist adventurers in finding work and supplying for quests. It even has a chat room where people can sell treasures and materials they get while they are on a quest, however if you want some of the higher class features you got to graduate from the academy first" explained Ari showing Sin how to access those features in the process.
'Let's see if those four are still registered' thought Sin as he took the Quest Finder with him to follow it's directions to an vintage gear store.
Ari had wanted to come but he said he would do so alone causing the girl to pout, Sin had more than just a gear run on his mind as he typed in the name of his old Party leader but he instead found no results causing him to grit his teeth but he soon followed by typing in the other's names as well.
'Jenny, no. Anne, no. Doku, bingo' thought Sin as he finally found a hit, turns out the former assassin of the party had taken up a teaching job.
"Looks like we will be seeing each other again soon traitor" chuckled Sin before referring to his map again.
'Damn almost missed it' chuckled Sin mentally as he looked down a rather rundown street and saw there was in fact a shop at the end of it though it seemed to be in worse condition than the street itself.
The thief Esper made his way into the shop and found it was indeed vintage, he could see all the old gear he would find in a shop from before his arrest. He delighted over this and saw an aged man sitting behind the counter with a grimace, he looked rather sick if he had to be honest. The aged man didn't say anything thinking the youth before him would walk out real soon but his eyebrows raised slightly as he saw him delighting over everything he touched even grabbing some of the classic rogue outfits.
"Don't suppose you know the guy who makes all these things do you" asked Sin already intending to do the same as he had with inventor in the Mage Lab.
"Your looking at him, why." asked the old man having his interest piqued.
"Then I'm gonna feel bad for this one" stated Sin and the Old man looked confused before his eyes went dull for a long time and Sin made haste and took everything within the shop while disappearing into the street. He had what he wanted and he got the information he needed but he had still felt bad for what he had done, though it was a necessity Sin had seen the man didn't have long left so why not take the knowledge he could make use of instead of letting it die with this old man.
'I'll put your studies to good use, I promise' thought Sin as he returned to the estate to get rid of his previous load out.
