A sudden knock snapped the two from their own world. Lingxue hurriedly put her mask back on covering her face. Not to forget her voice changer.
She put an appropriate distance between the both of them before allowing the people outside to enter.
"Master, we got code black." The man reported the urgency.
Everyone didn't know that code black is a code for the Fu's they only know that it's importance is top notch. No one dared to ask nor talk about it. All they could think is this matter cannot be delayed.
"Speak." Lingxue turned cold as cold as ice almost immediately.
Even Si Hou Che interest were intrigued. He watched how his soon to be wife changed into a different person in a second. He knew how important this mission for her.
He just doesn't know what it is.
Snake glanced toward Si Hou Che contemplating whether to talk or not. Knowing his concern, Lingxue finally spoke out. "He's a family." That one sentence smoothen the tense air as they proceed with the talking.
Si Hou Che smile when she spoke that one sentence. Happiness immediately spread across his being but now wasn't the right time to feel this way, so he obediently kept his silence.
"While our watchdog were changing shift, Madam Fu was kidnapped."
That news makes the ever so cool Lingxue stood up as fast as lightening. Her knuckles were turning white as she clenched them tightly.
Wasn't the history is changing? So what did happen?
She had avoided her family for years just to make sure they live a peaceful life and now history is repeating again? No! This can't happen! And with that thought in her mind, she went nearby the wall and pressed a certain painting and a secret room popped out.
Inside the room is filled with something that girl usually wouldn't play with. As we know every Assassin wore a completely black outfit to hid themselves well. Yet Lingxue owned a white letter clothes that makes her entire being can be spotted easily.
This is her reputation as the Silver Ghost. A dazzling silhouette wearing a completely white clothes with no speck of blood. A cold to the bone being that shook the entire regiment.
She barge from the front door. A bold and dangerous scene.
Lingxue reached out her hand touching the stuff she had hidden carefully but before her hand grasp her stuff a large hand hold onto her, preventing her.
She cast a cold unfriendly gaze on the man. Forgetting the warmth they had shared earlier. Acting as if he didn't notice how dangerous his woman currently is, Si Hou Che uttered.
"You don't have to make a move. It's now part of my responsible, let me do the dirty stuff as you can watch from behind."
Lingxue wasn't backing down either. She wanted to argue more but his next word shut her entire speech off.
"One should work with cool-headed state to reach a satisfying result."
Well he's right. The current her isn't in the right condition to move or she herself might not be able to predict the outcome. She know the other party strength too well and with her current state, she might become a nuisance.
It's not that she's not confident with herself, but she knows herself too much that she would become reckless if she's about to carry the mission as she currently is.
Lingxue took a deep breath. Calming herself down.
She stared into his deep concerned eyes and nodded her head. Taking the consent, Si Hou Che fished his phone out and dialed a number. His cold piercing voice stabbed into everyone's ears making them shivered slightly.
So cold! They thought.
Never knew that there's someone who can be much colder than their Master! They understood one thing. One should never offending this man. Or you can kiss your ass goodbye's.
"Everyone's dismissed." Lingxue uttered a word to her employee.
When everyone left the room, Lingxue sat on the seat. Her mood is very dark. The vision from the past keeps repeating in her head like broken record. Her whole being were being swallowed in a wave and she couldn't free herself.
The pain she felt from her past life hunted her so much that her small body started shaking visibly. Si Hou Che have just finished talking on the phone and when he turned toward her, this is the scene he saw.
His heart clenched tightly. What did this woman had experienced for her to reacted like this. He kneeled on one knees in front of her and hugged her securely in his arms.
"I'm here. Nothing will go wrong. Not under my watch." he consoled her. He doesn't understand her pain. At least not yet but will sooner or later.
He continued to hug her even there's no reaction from her side. He finally understand how important this mission for her and he would make sure everything goes well.

"Why would boss suddenly called us for something so trivial like this?" Qing asked bewildered. What kind of wind of change is this?
"Duh! As if I know!" Tsukasa snorted as he never stopped typing on his laptop.
"You should go ask the boss himself." Levi interjected.
"Are you hearing yourself? Before I got the chance to ask, my head might fly first!" he said almost yelling.
"Then don't ask in the first place." Tsukasa and Levi uttered simultaneously. Qing just groan in protest.
"Found them." Tsukasa reported announcing his findings as he stopped working. "The usual stuff." Levi commented before getting off of his chair. Both Qing and Tsukasa furrowed their brows.
"You're going?" They asked quite shocked. Levi nodded his head "Boss instruction. Absolute importance. Code Phoenix." Everyone gulped.
