"Come on guys keep up I'm walking as slow as I can". X yelled from behind his shoulder . "We'll never make it on time if y'all don't hurry up."
"We are trying!". I yelled stumbling while tripping over my own feet. 'Damn that hurt' I thought while getting back up.
"We haven't even been jogging an hour and y'all are tired already? OH BOY! this is going to be so fun for yall." X said sarcastically
'what a dick' I thought at that moment while turning my head Lucille. 'Man she isn't even breaking a sweat. How strong are these people in this world. I was sorta strong in my world but they are in a different level. Especially X.'
Looking at Lucille i ask "are you trying too keep pace with me? You don't have too hold yourself back for me ya know. I know I'm pretty weak, but that shouldn't stop you from getting as strong as possible." I say while looking down.
"Luther you're not weak. Just out of shape." She says while giving me a bright smile. "To answer your first question yes I am keeping pace with you. X kinda scares me. He seems like a nice guy, especially after letting us stay at his home and offering too train us, but something seems off about him. 'She's such a nice person. I'll get strong enough too protect her. Sure I may be weak now, but things are different now. I'm going too make the most of this nee life.'
With new found determination and a fire burning in my heart. I start running. Running as fast as my legs could take me who cares about the burning sensation I'm feeling at the moment.
"Wow. Luther you're sprinting pretty fast ya know. By the way have you seen X? He was infront of us a moment ago." Lucille says while easily catching up too me. 'This is embersssing' swallowing my pride I say.
"Maybe he's at the mountain already. We have been jogging and running for over a hour."
"Yea thats probably it. I doubt he would wait for us. He is taking this as seriously as we are it seems"
'Talking with Lucille made things alot easier. Shes so easy too talk to.' Looking up I see black smoke appearing from the trees. 'A fire? No I would see the flames. Did X set up some sort of campsite?'
"Hey Lucille" hearing a "hmm" in response I continue "I might be Hallucinating from all this running, but do you see that cloud of dark smoke? It can't be more than 60 meters out"
"Yea I see it too. Maybe X set up a campsite!" She says with a smile adorning her beautiful face. 'Wait where did that come from?' I say with a blush dusting my cheeks.
Heading there we see X did indeed set up a campsite. A big one too. There was a giant bonfire with actual logs on it. With log seats surrounding it. I also see some type of animal cooking on top of the bonfire ? It looks like some type of boar creature easily bigger than the house X owns which isn't saying much since it is a small house, but still it was gigantic. Plus the tents which im guessing are made from the boars hide? Two tents to be exact, that could fit two to a tent confortably . 'It only took him a hour too do all of this?!' I think incredulousley.
"What took you guys so damn long?" X says "Wait don't answer that I already know. The two of you took your sweet ass time talking the whole way. I had enough time too get our sleeping arrangements made, I made a fire pit already, and I also have our food prepared."
Both Lucille and I manage out a "Sorry"
"It's fine, but that took alot of the time we where going to do for training. I had the whole day planned out. We run too the mountain, climb it, set up camp in this bomb ass cave I found and Train till we can't move our bodies anymore."
"All in one day?! What are you crazy old man. You saw how much I struggled just running from the house too here. Are you trying too Kill me!!" I say out of pure exasperation.
"Luther calm down" I hear lucillle squeek out to the right of me.
"Listen kid if I wanted too kill you, you'd be dead already. I told you how tough this training would be. Hell my master was even stricter about training than I am. Take the 'training' I'm giving you and multiply it by 5 and that's what his training was like! Be grateful I even set up this camp. I saw how much you where struggling so I took pity on you. Now shut up and eat your food. Were going too be up at 0800." X says, while heading to The biggest tent in the center of our campsite."
'Only two tents so i'm guessing me and lucille are bunking together tonight again.' I say with a sigh. Looking at Lucille I say " you sure you want to bunk with me tonight? Is that really alright with you? I say quickly. "Yes luther that will be fine anyways, not like I have any other place to sleep tonight." She says while walking to the tent. "Oh ok thats cool" I say 'that kind hurt' i said in my mind."
"That's cool Lucille, this will be fine for the night." I say confidently.
"Yes it will be fine, let's get some rest for our training tomorrow." Lucille said
"I couldn't have said it any better." I told her as we laid down to sleep.
'This is going too be hell' I say while looking at the dusty book I pulled from my back pocket. 'Why would that asshat death give me a blank book?' Opening it again I see a brilliant flash of white light fill in the dark room. 'What the shit' looking at the first page of the book was my name and some other strange stats. 'Level? Strength? Hp? Mp? What is this a video game' I say in my head turning too see if it woke up Lucille. Wow she must be a heavy sleeper.
Turning the page I see what seems too be a skipl spread sheet. Physical Pain tolerance Lvl 1-10 'ten levels huh?' Sprinting lvl 5-20 and another skill which seems too be grayed out. 'Did my life turn into a video game? Thats bullshit I didn't want this. Turning too the first page I look over everything.

'Hngh what time is it?' I say while waking from my grogginess.Must be day time concidering the blinding light thats coming from the tent flap. Noticing I feel alot heavier than usual, I look down too find lucille using me as a body pillow. 'What is this girl doing! She can't just sneak into my bed while i'm asleep. Thats totally not cool. Well it is cool since shes a total babe but still the fact remains valid!!!' "Lucille? "Hngh five more minutes" she says while rolling away. 'The nerve of this girl' "Lucille get up!"
"Ahhh I'm up don't yell at me." She says quickly shooting out of bed.
With a sigh I say "Do you mind explaining why you where in my bed?" "Well you where tossing and turning in your sleep while mumbling. At one point you even woke up X because you screamed out the words 'Aleen' so I took it upon myself to jump in your bed and calm you down!" She says with a gigantic grin on her face while holding up a thumbs up. 'Wait what the hell is a aleen?'
"Did you mean 'Alien' Lucille?"
"Yea thats what I said."
'No it is not' "Whatever we needa get ready, X is probably waiting for us too start climbing that damned mountain." "Okay!"
Getting ready and leaving our tent we find X is waiting for us. "Ready too uead out? You got here maybe 5 minutes later than I said last night but it's fine."
"Uh yea sure" both Lucille and I say. "This is safe right?" I hear Lucille say. Deciding too join in I say "yea I don't really wanna die yet if I'm being completely honest"
"Well as long as u do what I say and follow my every move we should be okay! ha ha just don't get scared and don't look down." X said staring at me. "Lucille your not scared are you?" X asked Lucille while turning too her
"No I'm not scared just ready to start training."
"That's the spirit let's get started."
As we start our mountain climb I can tell it's no ordinary mountain this mountain gets hotter and hotter as we go up.
" What is wrong with this mountain? it just keeps getting hotter as we move up."
That's because it's a special mountain you will find out when we get to the top." X tells us with that smirk he always has on his face.
"Ok I guess we will find out." I say to Lucille.
"By the way Mr.X what does this training help with?" Lucille asked with wonder.
"Its a full body work out. It help almost every muscle in your body as long as you keep pushing with no stops and it helps mentally if you think you can't go on you will not be able to but if you believe that you can do it no matter what you will succeed."
"Oh ok makes sense how much longer do we have?" Lucille asked.
"We are almost there we should be arriving any minute now." X says looking down at lucille and I.
As we continued on I start to feel something vibrate in my left back pocket. The book is slightly shaking. I take it out to see what it was doing when I see that my strength attribute in this book had gone up 2 points since we started running yesterday. This book is seriously weird ,but what else do you expect from getting it from death himself.
'Finally where here' Luther says while collapsing from the exaustion of the climb. 'That climb was living hell' noticing Lucille looking over at me she says "You okay?"
Saying with a smile I say "yea just tired as hell."
"Get some sleep me and Lucille will set up camp. You earned it by not falling off the mountain." X says suddenly appearing above me.
"Gahh! What the hell man. Don't do that, but ya know sleep does sound pretty good." I say slowly drifting off too sleep with the cold mountain wind gently blowing my hair.
