Old man, "Well, I was planning to put you in as Scott. But if you want it this way, then I don't mind."
Max was thinking of how to milk the old man for more. After a few seconds he decided not to push his luck. So he tried to put on good face, "I know, you're in a tough spot, old man. Let's just say that I'm a good and honest kid."
Old man wanted to spit on his face for saying that. But he decided to keep his Nobile facade. "Boy, you're in your soul state so I can easily know what you're thinking. So don't try to put on a good face. If it wasn't for other's reasons I wouldn't even be talking with you."
Max suddenly remembered something,
"Old man, you said nothing is free in this world, so would you mind telling me why I'm getting these benefits. I mean, it's not like I'm some Paragon saint. So let's cut to chase. I wanna know why."
Old man started to frown as he heard this. It wasn't that he couldn't tell him, but it's just he didn't want to admit that it was his responsibility for the events of today. So he came in person to check on the results. But who could've expected that this would happen.
So the old man decided to give a simple clue for him. "Kid, let's just say that the truck driver today was supposed to die a peaceful death in his home. But someone tried to change is fate and that little girl was the one who took his place, then out of nowhere you came and took her place, that why you stood still in that spot. Where there is death, there will always be death. You can't change that here. But in the next world natural law is a bit amiable, so this was your compensation. Think of it as an apology by someone."
Max was thinking again. He didn't expect to be pulled into a struggle better fates.
Then he finally sighed. "Well, everything is over, we can't live in the past, can we? Well, I'll just enjoy my new life then. It's not like I was doing anything better here."
The old man laughed, "That's the spirit, kid. Okay, let me tell you, I'm putting in a little something extra in your new body, so you won't be in a disadvantage.
But I still don't get why you didn't choose to become the strongest alpha or something."
Max for this, he smiled and said, "To become an alpha werewolf is not that hard there, all I need is to get bit and turn, so why would I wanna waste my wish with that. But with these wishes the possibilities are unimaginable, right?
The old man for the first time smiled hearing this. The old man kinda liked this kid as much as he hated him. "Well, boy, I'm telling you early on, the world is not limited to Beacon Hills. Travel around, you might find some interesting stuff."
Max was pondering what the old man was trying to say, but he decided he'll check on it later. "Old man, I know this ain't what you wanted to do, but still thanks for the opportunity."
Old man sighed and said, "Good luck, Max. Our time is up. Live well. I don't think you'll get this chance again. Try not to get killed early on."
Max knew that the old man was a good fella so he said, "You too, God. What am I even saying, you're God, you're already having the time of your life. Hopefully I don't see you soon."
Old man's mouth twitched hearing this, "Brat, hope your luck your good next time that you don't meet me. If I see you again I'll just throw your soul in reincarnation cycle and forget about you.
Goodbye for now."
Max laughing at the old man, "See ya, old foggy."
The old man ripped the dimension barrier and threw his soul, "humph! Such a cocky kid. Why do I always get these weird ones. I gotta make sure those new Gods don't mess around anymore. I'm having a headache because of this."
The old man vanished as he was mumbling something.
**Teen Wolf World**
16 years later..
Chris Argent was training his son some exercises. He knew that his son was special as he got stronger the more he pushed. So today they both were out on a morning run.
Chris said, "Max, you got the message?"
Max said, "Yeah, she's coming back in a month, right?"
Chris, "Yeah, you and her are twins but the difference between you two is a bit too much, kiddo."
Max, "Come on Dad, it's not like we're--
(screaming) Ahhh!!"
All of a sudden Max falls down clutching his head. He was feeling like his head was about to explode by the sudden surge of memories. He didn't know what to do but scream.
Chris Argent tries to hold him up saying, "Max, Max! Can you hear me, son? Max, what's happening?
Chris immediately calls the ambulance. By the time the ambulance got here, Max was passed out. Chris and him were on the side of the road.
The medics pick him up and rushes to the hospital.
