POV Max
Hours after battle
I sat in my penthouse watching the news and looking through social media to see people's reaction to the battle and to say it was chaos would be an understatement people were going bugfuck insane.
"I knew there was going to be a reaction but I didn't know it would be this bad" on the news, it was back and forth conversation on what to do about the Zilla some wanted to and I quote
'put the beast on a leash' almost cracked the remote in half when that reached my ear.
"If anyone tries they lose the hand" I growl on social media it's something of the same but with some asking why do anything to Zilla or trying to befriend Zilla but these are the minority as most just want to kill or control Zilla instead I rubbed the bridge of my nose.
[How about you check out your reward and head out on patrol get some fresh air and crack some skulls.]
"Yeah your right alright let's see it" a second later in my hands appeared a book bag it was covered in dirt and dust and was ruined to the point that the buckle of the thing broke immediately after I held it up. "Tron what the hell my reward is a dusty old bag?!"
[hmm this is strange and your observations skill doesn't work on it] my eyes budge and I immediately used [observe] and sure enough it didn't give me any information about the back or...
"let's open this thing up" as I emptied the content of the bag onto the table the first that appeared were two books one was a journal the other looked like a scrapbook with a latch that barely contained the extra papers that poked out of it, the next things was an old-looking camera a rusty flare gun and multiple dog tags and a katana that was strapped onto the other side and a pair of cracked glasses and an M1911 pistol.
"Well, this complicates things?" all the items I recognize from Kong: skull island as items from the main characters even the bag it belonged to Mason Weaver her name was on the inside of it.
[How so it's just a bunch of junk?]
"This stuff confirms that Monarch the organization that locates studies and contains the Titans is here and exists" I didn't know how to feel on one hand it was an organization that I could turn into my own H.E.A.T team but on the other HYDRA could have infiltrated it as well.
[I would check your idea first if Monarch existed wouldn't they be the first people to announce and explain to the world what the Titans are?]
.
.
.
"Huh, your right" if Monarch existed then well at the very least S.H.E.I.L.D would know about the Titan and be far more prepared for the inevitable awakening so how does Monarch exist yet no one knew about the Titans but then it hit me like a truck.
"They didn't make it off skull Island" I felt a chill run up my spin
[????]
In Kong: Skull Island it's explained that the expedition to the island was Monarchs last chance to get evidence for more funding from the government
"In Monstervers the expedition was a success and got the government to take Monarch seriously" I was now pacing back and forth "But in this universe, the expedition failed I don't know why or how but it failed and monarch never came to be." I finished my ramble and fell onto the couch
[And the titans remained unknown until you reincarnated as Zilla]
I sat up and picked up the katana and unsheathed it it was slightly rusted but still sharp but a second later I realized the brown on the sword wasn't rust but dried blood. I placed it to the side and began to through the journal the first thing I noticed was the name on the front (Dr. Houston Brooks) as I opened a message for the Doctor who was waiting.
"To whoever finds this journal no you must listen carefully you are not dreaming you are not in a nightmare you are on earth a piece of it that doesn't belong on the surface I don't know how you got here but you must listen and learn from quickly everything man fears in our myths, legends, culture, and folklore are real Monsters are real and you need to tell the world before our nightmare wake up from their sleep-"
Whatever was written next was unintelligible flipping through the pages gave me the impression that this was the journal turned into a diary of the good doctor about him and the rest of the team's time on skull island.
Opening the scrapbook which was owned by Mason Weaver, as I flipped through seeing pictures if the researchers and soldiers all together in the Iwe village.
As I sat and looked over how much was left to look at in each book I knew I was going to be up all night if not the next three looking over all this information but before I started I glanced at the doctor's message.
