A ghost searches through the rubble of an old castle in an abandoned territory of eastern Europe. "I can sense him." Thoughts are running through his mind, voices shouting
"I did it! I found him!"The ghost scans a section of the rubble, and attempts a revive.
He hears a gasp from within the chunks of broken brick, and it starts to move. Agonizing scraping sounds and rumbling, and the ghost sees a face, a human one. The ghost is ecstatic. He does a little happy dance, twirling midair, bouncing up and down.
"huff...where... am I?" The ghost hears his new guardian behind him say in an exhausted voice. "What is...are?..." he says. The ghost faces his guardian. "I can't believe I found you! I've been looking for years!" the ghost says excitedly. He looked over his guardian, he could read him:
died at 17, in the collapse of this castle during an earthquake, which is quite abnormal for this area.
The ghost was surprised. He shouldn't be able to tell the guardians age, but he could.
"Does he... remember?" the ghost thought to himself. "Hey, what are you, exactly?" the guardian said, snapping the ghost out of his thoughts.
"Oh! I'm sorry, I am a ghost, yours now. And you are my guardian." The ghost sounded happy.
"What does that mean, exactly?" The guardians was sitting, covered in dust and bits of brick and mortar, examining the ghost.
"It means that you are a force to be reckoned with, I'll explain more on the way home." The ghost floats to his guardian.
"Stand still for a moment" The ghost vanishes. The guardian looks around him.
"I'm still here." The guardian heard the creature, or robot (he isn't sure what it really is) say.
"Whoa, how did you..."
"We are together now, the light binds us." The voice sounds in his head. "We need to start moving."
"Why? What's happening?" The ground started to rumble, and the clanking of heavy machinery sounded in the distance. The guardian looks out of a hole busted in the wall, and his eyes widened. There was a massive spider-looking machine with a tank cannon affixed on top of it, about half a mile from where they were.
There were also what looked to be people, but when the guardian looked closer, he saw that they had four arms.
"What the hell is that?!" The guardian said as he ducked back from the hole and sat down again. he was terrified, and now sweating profusely.
"Those are fallen, and we have got to find you a gun."
