Mo Zi Lin's eyes darted around the room. Mo Jing Ran stood smugly at the side, arms crossed, clearly relishing the scene. The aunts and uncles whispered among themselves, some looking smug, others feigning concern, but none made a move to intervene.
"Father!" Mo Zi Lin finally called out, desperation in his voice. "Are you really going to let this happen?"
Mo Ling shifted uncomfortably, but he didn't meet Mo Zi Lin's gaze. "It's for the best," he said quietly, his voice barely audible. "Just leave, Zi Lin. Don't make this harder than it has to be."
Mo Zi Lin's stomach twisted in rage and disbelief. "For the best?" he repeated, his voice rising. "You're letting her do this? You're letting her throw me out of the only place I've ever called home?"
"Enough of this!" Shao Wang snapped, motioning to the men. "Get him out!"
