POISONED DRINK
Anna Lee walked towards the bathroom. Her steps were wobbly and her eyes hazy so she could not see where she was headed quite well.
While walking through the corridors, she hummed a tune happily. She often remembered good things when she was drunk. In her hazy eyesight, she seemed to see the figure of her mother smiling softly towards her. She smiled back foolishly.
Luckily, there was no one else in the hallways, or else they would have already called a psychiatric hospital to take her in.
Anna had walked for quite a while but could still not find the bathroom. Her shoelaces were undone and once or twice she almost tripped from stepping on them.
She looked at the doors but they all looked the same to her. Her wobbly feet led her to one of the doors but before she could open it, her right foot stepped on the undone shoe lace making her trip.
Her body fell towards the room and the doors shot open with that motion. She had fallen yet she simply frowned then mouthed, 'I have fallen.' She then looked towards her feet and noticed the shoelaces. She drunkenly scolded them seriously, "You bad shoelaces, you tripped me and now I have fallen. What if I injured my head?"
She was scolding them so earnestly that she did not hear a slight chuckle coming from inside the room. The room was slightly dark and inside was a single table and chair. A man was currently sitting on the chair, his face hidden in the darkness.
Zhou Feng's face palmed. This boss of his was supposed to stay in Country Y for about a year before he came back yet a week had not yet ended and he was back.
Mo Xing silently stared and listened to the complaints of the girl who was still on the floor. He did not expect that he would meet her here like this. The truth was he was holding some meetings with the top executives from the Mo Group.
The meeting had ended but he did not move and asked for another room to rest in. he did not know that the girl who had occupied every part of his head would show up here, was this fate?
He stood up and walked towards her then squatted in front of her. He noticed her flushed face. Her lips were pouted in the direction of the shoelaces. Her breath filled the two of them. He could smell the subtle whiffs of alcohol coming from her.
"Go get some sobering medicine," he told Zhou Feng softly and the other ran outside to look for the medicine. When Anna heard someone speak, her head rose sharply, "There is someone here? This is the ladies' bathroom, get out of here."
She scolded while Mo Xing just laughed softly. He looked her up and down and then noticed a small bruise on her knees. His eyes constricted dangerously yet his tone was slightly soft, "Does it hurt?"
He did not want to touch her because that would be wrong yet he still wanted to rub the wound slowly. Her face immediately constricted in pain. She had noticed the bruise because she was focused on scolding the shoelaces but now that he asked, she felt a dull ache coming from her knee.
"Hurts hurts so much wuwuwuwuwu!" she cried miserably while Mo Xing became speechless. He did not what to do so he only blew on it slowly until the other's wretched cries stopped.
He could not stop himself from asking, "What are you doing here?" his voice was low and deep. Anna felt her heart shake. But then again that aside…
"This is the ladies' bathroom, I should be asking you what you are doing here." her eyes became as big as saucers, confusion etched in every corner of them.
"It is not" Mo Xing answered softly
"It is not?" Anna Lee repeated softly then with a face full of innocence asked, "Then do you know where it is?"
Mo Xing's heart was beating madly but he still managed to control himself. Luckily Zhou Feng had already come back with sobering soup in his hands.
Mo Xing offered the drink to her but Anna frowned lightly.
"I don't want that poisoned drink."
Mo Xing just let her complain then said softly, "You are drunk, this is sobering soup."
When Anna heard that she took it without question, drank it all up then said, "Do you know where the bathroom is?"
Mo Xing gave the bowl back then nodded, "Do you want me to show you?"
Anna Lee nodded furiously and just like that, the two made their way to the ladies' bathroom.
