IT WAS FENG ANXI'S IDEA
Over one million fans were now watching live. This number had already surpassed that of top celebrities.
The comment section was as hot as fire with everyone asking the same question, 'Who is she?" Everyone tried to make their guesses but no one got it right. Anna stared at the sea of reporters who were staring solely at her.
Travis soon started the conference. He was the producer of the film and also one of the investors. After seeing Anna act one time, he offered the female lead role to her but she declined. At that time, she was Harry Lu's fiancé and was trying her best to be the best wife. That time, she had offered Lillian the role.
The film had two parts; modern and ancient. It follows the life of a former army general who got wounded after the war. Her soul transmigrates into the future and onto the body of a young college girl. General Rong gets confused after he sees some of the soldiers under her who had died are alive and well in this strange world.
The general even meets her long-dead lover who she had never let go of and follows the story revolving around the two reunited lovers.
Travis explained that filming would begin in two phases; the ancient parts were to be shot first because the resources were already available.
He then introduced the investors who had joined the conference and also the directors and other producers. Harry Lu was one of the biggest investors. He had put in thirty million in support of Lillian.
Anna's father had invested thirty million too in support of his daughter Julia. Right now, they were the biggest investors yet the people they had invested for were second leads or unknown characters.
It was the chance for the reporters to ask their questions to the cast and crew.
A reporter asked Simon Xu; "You and Lillian Ye are working together again on a film, how does it feel?"
Simon replied; "It is always an honor to work with her. The talent she has is irrefutable and what she brings in is a lot."
The crowd nodded in approval while the camera panned to capture Lillian's reaction. Her face flushed as she smiled docilely.
Another reporter asked Lillian; "What is your motivation in choosing to play the king's daughter, Wang Jia'er?"
The character Lillian plays was the king's daughter in the ancient era. Her character fell in love with the male protagonist who is played by Feng Anxi yet her love was not reciprocated.
This threw her into a jealous fit where she throws all kinds of suffering at the women he is involved with and even attempts to kill general Rong after she realizes that she is the one he loves.
Lillian answered; "I have always been treated like a princess back home and also by my fiancé, so which other role would I take?"
The room was filled with giggles and the braver ones even stared at Harry who was smiling warmly.
The same reporter asked; "The chairman of Lu group announced that you two will get married in ten days, should we expect wedding bells soon?"
Lillian stared at Anna for a brief moment before smiling shyly in Harry's direction.
"That...I will give an update soon"
A reporter asked Feng Anxi, "You have just come from filming in country Y, is there any difference in terms of your expectations?"
Feng Anxi answered; "There are differences indeed but filming at home is always better. The expectations are high but then isn't that where the thrill is?"
Only Anna was remaining. All this time she sat silently as she listened to the others answer their questions.
A reporter asked the reason why she chose the role of General Rong, and she answered;
"I fell in love with her when I read the book. Her resilience and determination are like no other I have seen. In the modern world, the way she handles not knowing anything is funny in itself and almost a roundabout way."
This answer was beautiful. She continued,
"Besides," she paused
The crowd was left hanging but she continued,
"It was Feng Anxi's idea."
