Ella's gaze turned cold as her mind replayed what her mother said, but still nodded at Leo's question.
Seeing him still looking so worried, Ella nodded her head softly. "It's fine." She assured him, but it was obvious that wasn't entirely true.
Her face has lost its color and vein threatening to bulge on her face with the way she's gritting her teeth.
"Who was that?" Reuben asked Leo. He had known the girl for a while now and despite her wild self, she's very sweet and loving.
She had never been this way before. For a phone call to make both of them look so serious, he felt that it's something very serious.
"Her parents." Leo replied, before receiving Ella's glare.
"They are not my parents!" She raised her voice at him and her chest heave. "Why on earth did you let them out?" She asked.
She hoped the two rot in jail and didn't care, but how would they have escaped if not for Leo.
