[Novel Spoiler ahead]
Spirit Energy, Spirit Energy … Spirit Energy
I've been doing nothing but playing with it for almost a decade now; 2 years in real time and around about 8 years in the Soul Realm, and through it all, my understanding of its nature is barely any better than it was at the start. Having said that, through my experiments I found that spirit energy in of itself holds immeasurable potential.
What I don't understand, however, is why some people are more predisposed to just using it as a mere source of energy to fuel their spirit ability, or why they simply ignore the fact that it is possible to tap into spirit energy in the environment.
From what I remember and understand, It was only Huo yuhao, the protagonist of the second book, who was able to actually absorb the surrounding energy in the environment and used it to replenish his reserves. Though how he accomplished it, I can vaguely remember but I'm sure he used the tang sects cultivate art to do it.
A questions arises as a result. Can I possibly replicate such effects without having any references at all?
One of the many questions still left unanswered, and no one to turn to for answers.
Deep breaths.
No answers are forthcoming, the best I can do is try a bit of everything and hope for the best. These are the most significant years in a person's development; I must make the best of them.
Still. I survey the plot of empty land I currently find myself in. That isn't why I'm out here today.
I walk to a nearby pond and silently observe my reflection.
Light skin, now tanned by countless hours spent outdoors. Spiky reddish brown hair. emerald eyes. About five years old. Finally a slim body which strongly resembles the future version of fatty when he awakens his bloodline. (Manga ch:232)
Which I am ecstatic about, as I feel like I have somewhat repaid the true Ma Hongjun. Because in the end of story, he would confine himself in solitude and anguished over the fact that he was too weak to bring his wife up to the God Realm. And one of the reasons why he was too weak was because he was lazy.
Nevertheless, I am still hesitant about the matter of pursuing Hongjun's wife since it's quite unclear whether it would be a repayment or an insult. Although I am a selfish person and would have no issue netorareing someone; which would probably be Oscar at this point, seeing that Ning RongRong just has too much potential for me to leave her alone. But yes even though I can commit such heinous acts, I have decided that unlike the others I would never manipulate Hongjun's wife into liking me as I truly see him as my benefactor.
In any case, I have finally found out what era I'm in and can happily announced that it is Tang San's era! I think… I'm still a little sceptical but I'm pretty sure it's the first era since this orphanage is run by spirit hall and all.
Which brings me to the next issue, where to go next? Now logically it would be more advantageous to choose the spirit hall and together with my two insurance there would be no problem with joining their so called golden generation. Also from within I can start my work on Bibi Dong and make her mine, but yes leaving her alone would honestly be the most stupid decision someone could make as they will essentially lose someone who has a potential to being a God. Am I confident about my success? Not truly but I feel like I have a solid 40% chance of it working.
As for her daughter Qian Renxue, yes as mentioned above I would also make her mine but it is still at a wait and see, as I still have no clue on how to go about, making her fall for me when she's impersonating the prince.
Now the second choice I have is to go to Shrek academy, which fortunately should be around the outskirts of this city the orphanage is currently in. Though its resources or information isn't at all comparable to spirit hall, it makes up for it in freedom. Which I personally prefer as I would need to take a few trips to harvest some treasures that I know about. Also I would stick more closely to the original plot, so my knowledge about the storyline should still have some use, though I'm sure there would be some deviation along the way.
Whether its resources or information the spirit hall is clearly the most advantageous pick and I would've chosen it at a moment's notice. But there is just one MAJOR issue that I should've realised immediately while pondering. And that is my two insurance are currently under the rank of 60, which according to the novel is called "Immature Phase". During this phase, Spirit Douluo can distinguish them as Spirit Beasts upon close observation and Title Douluo are able to recognize them even more easily.
Which unfortunately means no spirit hall, as there's no way in hell that I'm gonna let go of my insurance. Haah... I guess I have to replan my capture method for Bibi Dong. I also need to break us out of this orphanage as I'm sure spirit hall won't let three orphans with full innate spirit rank go.
Haah…
I've been sighing a lot lately, I guess I should start my workout and relieved some of the stress that accumulated. Now I don't really know where the myth came from or why the author's insist that its true. But studies have proven that weight-lifting has NO negative impact on a child's growth. So instead of being concerned about lifting heavy weights, I only made sure to protect myself from growth plate injuries by limiting my weights to only 10% of my body weight. Though I don't have any scale to measure it accurately, I doubt that I would be over 20kgs, so I've taken cautionary steps and only worked out with 1 litre water bottles.
