After spending a whole day of working on the company's issues, Rose was wearied like hell. So to make herself and her body felicitous Rose went for a healthful meal at a nearby cafe.
"Finally, all the work is finished. My mood is particularly amusing now. Meth, if you want to ask for something, go ahead. I'd like to reward you ."
Rose swirled the glass of juice in her hand.
"Can I get a promotion? "
"That"s it? What else? You could have claimed for something more!"
"Not just now, Miss! We have some more major things to do. Don't you remember the 5% we lost? We have to get that back by hook or by crook. When we get that back, I will surely ask for the things I really want ."
Meth said proudly.
They both looked at each other with meaningful eyes as they understood each other, smiled, and went back to enjoy their meal.
As soon as Rose put her last spoon of the meal inside her mouth, Meth's work phone rang vigorously. Rose went into a daze as to who was calling while hearing an urbane and conventional tone from the other side of the phone.
She looked at Meth with mystified eyes, as Meth said, "Could you please wait a bit, Young Miss will be back soon! We are out for some urgent work."
"..."
"Thanks for understanding mister, we won't take much time ."
Meth hung up the phone and rang up to the administrative office and asked a subordinate secretary to take responsibility for some guests who have arrived un-notified for the time being . Rose was about to ask that what was the actual situation, but Meth did not give her a prospect to even say the initial word. She drew Rose by her wrist and started to run towards the exit of the cafe and said without looking back at her, "I'll tell you all about it on our way to the office. Just bustle up now. We truly don't have adequate time ."
As they got in the automobile, Meth began with a severe tone, "The guests sitting in our office is the president of 'CAPE' company and Director of their estate department. I certainly don't understand. We tried to negotiate with them on a large scale profit project about two months ago which would have benefitted both the companies but they declined and conferred no interest. I don't know how they are so abruptly interested in that project and came here without even notifying us."
" Is it that project where they're owning land at the east of the Blueshake village, and we oblige to get the rich raw materials for the new perfume from there?"
"Yes, that one "
"I changed the proposal a bit."
"You did?"
Rose glanced outside the car and rejoined,
"Yeah, the contract said that they will have 30 % of the profit earned. I think that didn't seem to attract them. So accordingly, I have increased the profit percent to at least 45 %. The person isn't easy going from the look of it. He is probably here to negotiate and will definitely try to earn more profit. So, I have planned to keep up the condition that if the perfume achieves a sound market price than we will share the profit as he suggests, and if not then we will go with the gain price as we offered.
And I know that the perfume will definitely achieve a higher market price than I expected because the earlier launch ones were popular and this launch is the same as the preceding one. And also they will offer to advertise for our product in this case."
"Sure enough! You really are good at patronage talks." Meth replied looking absolutely dumbfounded.
"Don't flatter me. I'm no match for you." Rose smiled embarrassedly.
