In the eyes of Hailey.
It's the last three days before the weekends and my bet with Alex is coming to an end and I don't want to work for him... Since I've found the original archives I can finally formulate a medicine that will cure this plague. I never thought that my great-great-grandfather is hiding this breakthrough but from the way, he wrote it and there's a note here saying 'This work will be my last resort for curing any disease.' I think Dad doesn't know about this... Tom came to me and said. "Ma'am I've got some more books for you to read." I nodded and said. "Place it over there. Hey Tom, it seems that these archives mean something. For some reason why Great Great Grandfather knew everything and predicted the exact virus, we have right now. Even my research is here... All of the symptoms and the possible causes of death." Tom replied. "I felt the same way with his diary about his progress on the cure. And also I've read the archive about the wall of last words. It seems that Sir Neal had it bad for him to accidentally kill his patients for progress on the cure. All of the messages of each patient, I especially liked the last words of the Aristocrat that he respected that he wants to help with the progress of the cure." I nodded in agreement since he was able to risk his life for the sake of the world. It's amazing yet, sadly, Great Great Grandfather had to do that just to know more to improve the cure.
After a few hours... "Ma'am, I've received word from your Mother that they have something to say to us, shall we return to the lab?" Said Tom while on the phone. I replied. "Sure, tell Mother that we'll be a bit late." We picked all the books we'll be needing for more information about what the heck is going on with my family's story. Minutes later we're back at the house and the atmosphere is quite heavy at the moment when I've heard that... "Hailey... The plague has begun. 44 People already died in the last two days ago." Dad says that with a frustrated voice. "And that was just two days ago... The death toll today is 124,260 people already died..." As I was shocked by the news that I heard... Am I too late? What happened? "Sir Kirkstoic, where did the first set of casualties occur?" Tom asked Dad a question regarding the topic that is... The return of the Plague. "Sir where did the first set of casualties occurred in?" Then Dad replied. "Sussex, 4 were killed within five days of confinement.
Their deaths were clean nothing spilled, no traces that they're dead. Just a blank face that doesn't react to anything." I began to think about mass-producing the recently discovered cure from our Founding Father. But I need to prove this before I can give them the ok signal for production.
"Ma'am the first batch has arrived!" as I hear my Assistant announcing the arrival of the first set of medicine for testing. I called out my assistant. "Tom, help me out here bud. I need you to test this on sample patients. I know this may be risks that we'll be testing this on patients I'm just following what my Great Great Grandad's instructions here on this archive." He replied. "How many patients do you need?" I replied. "Well just get three I guess. Control the dosage ok?" Tom nodded and I went outside to check if the air has changed. Hmm... It seems that the air is still the same it is cloudy today. Then Tom came to me to say something. "Ma'am! The patients have arrived! And I think one of them knows you..." I quickly came to the testing facility and entered the test room. "Irina?! You're one of the patients!?" I was shocked that seeing my best friend getting infected with the plague... "How did this happened? Didn't I gave enough medicine to make your immune system better?" Irina replied. "I guess luck wasn't on my side then... Sorry, Hailey, I was surprised that I caught this. I didn't know what to do..." I replied. "What did it felt like? Are there any symptoms?" Irina replied. "I was sick it felt like throwing up even though my stomach isn't painful. I felt dizzy. I can't feel my muscles and I had to stay in bed for two days." I thought everything that I know about what my Great Great Grandfather wrote in the archives and what possible symptoms it can give... I think it does align with the archive. I told Irina what my head was trying to say while breaking down seeing my best friend getting the first try on my Great Great Grandfather... I really wanna know if my great-great-grandfather is correct with the mixture or do I need to improve it.
