After a few hours do we finally leave.
"You're now 17." I say walking from the castle up to the road because we can.
"Yeah. We all will be in five months." Killian says back.
"Mhm." I hum in agreement.
I turn around to see Ren a bit behind us. He looks up when sensing someone looking at him.
Orion's next question pulls me out of my thoughts.
"What will we be doing after we turn seventeen?"
We all stop and think even Ren does.
After five minutes I break the silence. "Hopefully we'll all still be alive."
"I hope so too." The three agree.
"Hopefully we'll still be friends." Ren mutters.
We nod agreeing.
"Henry will be dead and our family will be in peace." Orion suggests.
"We find our soulmates." Killian adds.
I gasp when a thought comes to me. "Or Edith could be dead."
Killian and Orion's eyes light up once hearing that but they don't yell or say anything in joy or agreement.
"So where should we go now?" Killian asks treading casually down the road. He looks a bit exhausted from singing all the birthday songs and eating lots of cake. He also talked a lot but that is his older brotherly side coming out like always. Only time he's not in brother mode is when someone he is close to is threatened or he's in a mission.
"I remember that there should be fireworks to celebrate the village founding." I say going deep into my photographic memory.
"There is too." Killian says just remembering. Although he was birthed here and has come many times he doesn't associate himself with many from the village probably just the village butcher and firefighters.
The only one that is up to date with the town they were born in is Aria but that's because she was born in San Francisco.
"Who's calling the driver?" We all ask at the same time. "Not it. Jinx! Argh!"
By the end of our rock, paper, scissors (I won), Killian ended up calling the driver because he lost (he threw a paper against scissors). Orion came second but he ended up mind-linking Aria and Lance to come back since Ren hasn't fully figured out how to yet.
By the time we arrive in the village of Hadstock, again, the celebration has already started and food can be smelt a mile away.
The driver parks the car a few streets away from the main party and we walk the rest of the way as not to get our car recognized since it's not like any other car in Hadstock which is an average town. Not too wealthy but not poor either though they could be a middle class village if they didn't spend so much money on making their lawns look green and their white paint white.
"Wah! Hotdogs!" I gasp when seeing the familiar red sausage with mustard. "I'm getting one." I say and pull out my purse. I pay with cash.
I immediately bite into my cheese and mustard covered hotdog after I say thank you.
After the quick stop we walk to the main event which is a performance. The performance itself isn't bad but what they're basing it off. Humans slaying the nearby demons.
"This is a supernatural type of racism." I mutter while shaking my head and gritting my teeth.
"Yeah." Killian blankly agrees.
Without saying anything Aria stomps towards the stage but before she can do anything people start screaming.
"Spiders! Snakes!"
Aria whips her head around to Atasi calmly standing there like she didn't just control spiders and snakes to come out of their hiding spots. Aria wants to say something but doesn't when seeing Atasi's gaze.
'Calm people are so scary.' She thinks. 'I need celery to cheer up.'
"Excuse me when is the fireworks starting?" Lance asks a nearby screamer.
"In forty minutes. Ah!" The person shrieks when seeing a snake come towards her. Though the snake is small and not venomous he is still scared since snakes in England are a rare site.
"Let's go up the hill." I suggest and start walking away before they agree.
The other five follow and we soon reach the hill with a single tree swaying alone in the night.
"The fireworks should be seen the best here." Lance murmurs. "It's on high ground and across from where they are setting them up."
I take out a blanket from my black diamond ring and lay it out on the ground before sitting on it. I get comfy and wait for the fireworks to start by taking out my phone and checking my messages.
Trix- Where are you?
Kara- I am celebrating Kiki's birthday. Why?
Trix- The club has been attacked. The gang has been disbanded for the members safety.
Kara- who?
Trix- still trying to investigate it. We're staying with Reiji for now.
Kara- Okay. Let me know if you need help or if they make a move again.
Trix- Will do. Have fun.
Kara- Stay safe.
I put my phone away after checking my other messages which three are from Reiji, Theodore and Damien telling me about the attack and their plans.
"What happened?" Orion asks seeing me act a bit weird.
"The club has been attacked and the gang has disbanded. The three bosses are staying at Adolf estate." I explain briefly.
"Okay." Orion nods knowing that we shouldn't make a big deal about it until we go back to Japan.
"It's starting." Lance says his ears twitching from hearing some lighters being lit in the distance with his enhanced hearing.
Just as he finished speaking something shoots into the air from a few hundred meters away. We tilt our heads before something explodes and red light goes everywhere, lighting up the sky.
"Woah!" We exclaim before another firework meets the first. This time blue.
The next one is grey before purple, green, white and yellow before a sequence starts happening.
We look at each other when seeing our colors. Red for Orion, blue for Lance, grey for Killian or black, white for Aria, green for Atasi, purple for me and yellow for Ren.
While watching the fireworks we barely sense someone walking towards us.
[Turn around] Astrid softly says.
'Eh?' Before I can ask her properly someone talks.
"Chichi?"
I turn around and see Yuu in his original appearance; white hair with a brown streak.
I stand up. "Yuu? What are you doing here?"
