A few hours later I take the elevator up to the top floor with Ren and Reiji.
Killian had to put the babies to sleep so he went to the Blackwell floor with Kian. Aria went to have a bath and Atasi had to get her red weasel Zero out of the water since he fell.
"You will stay in Saisho's room which is next to Reiji's." I inform Ren while in the elevator.
"Are we going there now?" Ren asks.
"No. We are going to the top floor where my brother and I rooms are." I reply.
"Why?"
"Little Missy wants you to pick an animal so that you have more protection. Henry Lobo isn't going to be play fair now that we have killed we have killed his wife and two of his children including his eldest son. Although he has many mistresses and children he cherished the Morris' the most since they are from a strong family but now that they are gone he would have no strong backing so he will do anything he can to get revenge and keep his place." Reiji explains.
Ren stays quiet.
"I have many animals which all have been trained either by me, my brother or a relative." I say before the door opens and we step out onto the long beautiful corridor. I lead to the second purple door which is bedroom. Many birds are in the two trees and in the pond.
When hearing the door open and me walk in the animals have all turned to look while preparing to attach since they know that only Orion and I are out of the house.
"Calm down. It's just me." I say calming them down. "Go to the animal room." I command them which they fly through the study door which is open or swim through the pipe connecting the pond to the other much larger pond in the animal room.
I walk through the study and into the animal room which looks just as I left it. Clean, beautiful and many different animals.
Ren gasps when seeing the animals which are hundreds. He did not expect that the animal room is so large. The outside didn't look this large.
That's because I have created this space using a magic which is called space where you can make the space bigger or smaller. It's completely up to me. The animal room was just a small storage room before I expanded it and now it's twice the size of my room which is as large as a ballroom.
"This is Ren Yamashita. He will choose one animal which will protect him." I announce and step aside for the animals to get a close look at Ren. Some come up to touch him and sniff him while the less timid ones closely from a distance.
After a few minutes the animals step back and clutter together in a corner to discuss.
"What are they doing?" Ren whispers to Reiji.
"They are discussing. Don't worry this happens to everyone." Reiji assures him.
"There's been more people getting an animal?" Ren looks at Reiji.
"Yes. Every child chooses one when they turn four. They go through the discussing period too." Reiji explains.
Ren nods just as the animals come out of discussing clearly making their choice.
"So which one will guard him?" I ask the animals.
A bear roars and steps forward.
Reiji and I suck in air. The bear is Knockout. Not Knockout. He's one of my favorites.
I pout but say nothing even though I feel betrayed. "This is Knockout. He is a Andean bear or also known as the spectacled bear."
"Hi." Ren says awkwardly.
I grab his hand and put it out. Knockout takes it and pulls Ren into a bear hug.
"Traitor." I pout and pat Zinnia the small pig who is near my feet. "Eh? You want Kimberly to be your owner. You traitor!" I curse and stop petting Zinnia.
Reiji secretly laughs when two of my animals have betrayed me and chose another owner.
"At least I still have Shiro." I look at Shiro who is watching everything unfold from the highest branch on the tallest tree. He squawks and looks away. "It's not my fault I couldn't take you."
Just by that sentence Reiji couldn't hold it and starts laughing out loud. I send him a death glare but that does nothing.
I huff and storm out of the room. I go downstairs using the elevator and come across Aunt Imogen.
"Ah, Adi. I was looking for you." Aunt Imogen says once noticing me.
"What do you need me for?" I tilt my head and start walking with her.
"Did you forget the promise?" Aunt Imogen turns to me.
"Of course not. The promise still stands." I smile widely.
"Great. Let's go now." Aunt Imogen happily skips to the courtyard.
I shake my head and follow her.
*********
Five hours later,
I flop down in a chair and before anyone can say anything I cross my legs and close my eyes in the lotus position.
"What's wrong with Chikara? She looks haggard." Ren asks Atasi quietly.
"She has been sparring for the last five hours. Of course she'd be worn out." Aria frowns but her face shows a bit of concern.
"She shouldn't of done it." Atasi mutters.
"It was your mother who asked her."
"That's true but your mother also started to spar with Adi right after."
Aria crosses her arms. "Your brothers ganged up on her."
"She said she was okay."
"That isn't any excuse! We all felt the bond which signaled that she was injured. Us more than them. They should've been more considerate. I'm not saying that your family was wrong- mine wasn't in the right either- but you sparred with her!"
"Why is she in that position?" Ren cuts in before Aria or Atasi can say anything else.
"It is most effective for her powers to be restored." Atasi replies with her calm voice.
"Is she the only one that has to do that? Do you do it?" Ren asks.
"No." Aria shakes her head with a frown. "Only the animal kingdom in Renata has to do it if they want to be human but it takes a long time to get enough to fill their spirit lake. Adi gets quickly recovered from any attacks because she uses her spirit lake which is filled very quickly. More quickly than anything that anyone has ever seen or read. She is unmatched in nearly everything and her spirit lake is one of them."
Aria sighs at the end.
"Don't think that it she has to use the spirit lake to use magic." Atasi says once seeing Ren's face. "She rarely uses her spirit lake because she doesn't need it like others do. She only uses it when she's facing a powerful enemy since without it she would only use the powers she has that hasn't been sealed."
"And Aunt Ellora sealed eighty percent, Edith sealed five and Ori sealed another five before she left but somehow she has managed to break his seal which gives her a total of fifteen percent. God I hate math!" Aria hisses.
It's not like she doesn't know math but she is a more do or don't type of person so she doesn't need math. It seems the only time she uses math is if I'm involved.
Ren nods before watching the big screen since they are in the cinema which has a bigger screen (as it should) than the living room. It also has more comfy red seats than the lounge room so it's not cramped and a popcorn machine after much persuading to the parents.
