Anika Regio's POV
I was looking at the direction of Damien has disappeared into. I don't know where he had gone to but I know it was not safe to be inside the woods in the middle of the night. And if Damien's story was true, I cannot risk him being attacked by the wolves.
Then, a howl broke the silence of the night.
I gritted my teeth before I was moving into the woods and I was looking around as my dress was stuck into the woods and bushes. I don't know why I was doing this. Maybe it was the attraction that pulled me to Damien and something else.
I love him.
I scoffed as I was trying to assess my feelings. No, this did not love. He did not love me as I just confessed my love to him at the park. I was infatuated with him. Yes, that's the real answer. I was looking at the woods and determined which way to go.
"Damn it, I hate dark," I said as I was taking a right turn on the tree before I felt something was moving behind me. I turned to look behind me but there was nothing. I shrugged before I went forward and I heard something cracked.
I turned to look at what was it but there was nothing. Panic rose in my belly before I was taking off to run away from that thing. I was trying to get away before my foot hit a log and I was slammed to the ground. I was breathing hard as I turned to look behind me and my worst nightmare was coming to life.
A huge black wolf was coming at me as its canine was showing to me. It would snap and I think I was frozen to the spot. I cannot move, not with my foot stuck in the log now.
"Easy, wolf. I am not an enemy. I was just looking for my friend," I said as I was holding my hands in surrender before it was coming at me. I closed my eyes and whimpered before something was coming from behind.
Snarls and growls were exchanged as I was opening my eyes to look at the wolves. One was the black one that was coming at me and the other, the sandy brown, was the one that trying to protect me. I don't know why but I felt like the brown wolf wanted to get me out of here.
I was looking at the black wolf and its blue eyes were focusing on me. Then it growled and another howl in the distant distract it. He whimpered before he snarled at the brown wolf before he took off. The brown stayed before he was snarling at the retreating wolf.
I was trying to get out of the log before the wolf, Brown I call it, was making his way to me. I was supposed to be afraid but the stormy orbs were staring at me. Waiting for me to say something as I was breathing hard right now. I was blinking my eyes then something happened.
The brown wolf was moving as I was looking at the disappearing fur and the limbs of a man were forming. I was staring at the tan skin that I have come to know in the past days as I was seeing the brunette hair on his head and his eyes.
The same stormy orbs.
I was about to shout before Damien held out his hands. "Please don't freak out, I will not hurt you," he said before he went to help me to get the feet of the log. His warm hand was touching me and I shivered in its heat. He turned to look at me before he took off the log and threw it far away.
"Thank you," I said as I was expecting my feet. Thankfully no damage was being done and I was sighing.
"What are you thinking to come into the woods when it was dark?!" Damien shouted at me as I was startled by his outburst. He was pacing back and forth in front of me as I was staring at his distressed body.
Distressed, naked body. But I think he did not realize that.
"Do you know if I don't come to save you, that black wolf would have attacked you? Are you trying to die, early woman?!" He barked at me before I flinched. Then, he noticed that before he cleared his throat and he was staring away.
"You should go," he said before I turned to look at him. He was naked, alright, but I felt like my fury was overcoming my lust for him right now.
"And left you here? No, I don't think so. You have a lot of explanation to do, mister. I will not leave until you explain what the hell is going on. How do you manage to change from big, hairy wolf to this?" I said as I was gesturing to his naked body. He looked down before my face flushed when he smirked at me.
"Liking what you see, signorina?'' He asked before he was kneeling in front of me. His cock was in my view before I turned to look away. Even though I have been working with male models in my life, I never encountered them naked like his.
Well-endowed and hard like him.
"Can you walk?" Damien asked me as he was inspecting the feet. I flinched as he was putting his hand on my feet.
"I don't think so. I cannot feel my feet right now. I think I have to stay here then," I said before Damien looked at me.
"What?" I asked him as he was sighing. He rubbed his face before he was looking around.
"We cannot stay here. We're in the territory. I have to take you home," he said before I remembered that he was naked all around.
"You can't walk around like that. People would think that you were trying to molest me or worst, rape me," I said as I was looking at Damien who was smiling with amusement at me.
"Is that what you think of me? Trying to molest and rape you?" He asked as I was blushing again. I just did suggest he ravish me but now that I know who he was, do I still want him to?
Can I believe him that much to let him take me home?
I sighed before I heard another howl and I think panic and fear had won over my logic.
"Take me home and I don't want to be here anymore," I said as I was holding out my hands to him. Damien gladly took it before I wounded my hands around his neck as he scooped me up to meet his bare chest.
The chest that I have been dying to feel when I tried to kiss him.
He did not say anything as he went to walk around in the woods. I was confused, he said that he wanted to take me home but we were going inside the woods even more.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked him as I was staring at his hard face.
"Home,"
"But the hotel is that way," I said as I was nodding toward the park. Damien stared at me for a moment before he smirked at me.
"Who said anything about that disgusting hotel anyway? I'm taking you home. My home," he said as he still walking through the woods. I wondered how he can manage to see in the dark. It must be one of the advantages to be a werewolf.
"How come I never knew that you were a werewolf?" I asked him bluntly before he stopped and I was staring at him. He was tilting his head before he smirked at me again.
"Oh, agapi mou, you have no idea what's more to me and how you play in my life right now," Damien said before he was running in the woods. I closed my eyes and clung to him because I have trusted this man to save me.
But I don't know who can save me from him.
