Arthur Adamos' POV
After we made love for the first time, I cannot let Diana go just yet. It's time to indulge in our pleasures as I have been waiting for my whole life to be with her. It has been 4 years since I was waiting for my mate to show up.
We made love again and again as I was taking Diana to a new high and she was happy to let me do anything that I wanted with her. She was crazy, beautifully insane to let me indulge in my carnal desire for her.
She has the same stamina as well.
I should not be surprised but I was. She can keep up with me and I was too grateful to spoil the moment of us alone in the woods, in the middle of the night. I should get back to my duty but I cannot let my mate be here when she wakes up.
She was sleeping right now. My mate, my Diana.
She was beautiful beyond measure of anything else. She was important to me and she completed me inside out. I never felt full before in my heart that I know a void was always there. I was staring at my filling.
She stirred into my arms as we were laying naked on the ground, the moonlight was dim but werewolves have high sight and we can see clearly in the dark. Diana was mumbling about a plan, escape, and something.
I chuckled when I heard it. She was so cute when she wanted to be if she was not a hothead at first. I was caressing her cheeks as she was leaning into the touch before she sighed. She slowly opened her eyes as her slate orbs were looking into mine.
"Hello there," I said as I was smirking at her. She was smirking at me as well before she was kissing my lips briefly.
"Hello stranger," she said as she was looking around. I don't know what she was looking for but she felt nervous all of a sudden.
"Shit," she cursed before she was pulling at her clothes on the ground and she was putting it on in haste.
"Where are you going?' I asked her before I was leaning on my elbow.
"No, no, no! This," she was pointing at me and her, "should not have happened. I was planning to ask you to get me off the island and when you kissed me, well, everything went south," she said as she was walking away from me. My wolf whined at her retreat before I was putting on the black pants before I was chasing after her.
"Diana, wait!''
"No, Arthur. Just leave me alone. I have to go. I have to clear this," she said before I pulled her and she was facing me.
"You're my mate now, we're claimed that. I will not let anyone cause my mate distress. Please, tell me what are you trying to do?" I asked her before she cried all of a sudden.
"Hey, hey, hey. Shh," I shushed her as she was snuggling at me. I held her as she was a fragile thing. Sure, she was a spitfire when she was on her passion but right now, something was weighing her down. And I wanted to rip that off from her.
"Well, well, if it wasn't a sight to see," a voice was coming in the darkness and I saw that Beta, Diana's father was staring at us as he was standing with Caleb, Xavier and Alpha, Caleb's father.
"What is the meaning of this?" Alpha asked as I was putting Diana behind me, trying to protect her.
"It is what I have suspected, Alpha. Gamma was taking advantage of my daughter that was promised to your son. We have to take this treason to the execution of Gamma Arthur immediately," Beta said as he was smiling smugly at me. Caleb and Xavier exchanged glances.
"And what is that you suspected, Beta?" Alpha asked as he turned to look at Beta. Beta then told the biggest lie of them all.
"They were planning to escape the island, I do not doubt that Arthur influenced my daughter to back up from the wedding that was bound to happen between her and Caleb. I'm sorry, Alpha for trusting my daughter as much," Beta bowed at Alpha as he turned to look at me.
"Is this true, Arthur? You were planning to take Diana, who is Caleb's betrothed, off the island?" Alpha asked before I was straightening my back. So they did not know it yet. Well, time to bring the truth to the light.
"I'm sorry, Alpha but I cannot let Caleb took Diana now,"
"And why is that?" Beta asked as he was narrowing his eyes at me. I smirked.
"Can you sense it? Diana was my mate and we just claimed each other just now. She belongs to me now and if anyone, anyone," I said as I was looking at Diana's father, "tries to take her from me, there will be consequences. Caleb cannot take her as his bride now. She was bounded to me and will always be," I said as I was pulling Diana closed to me.
"Even if you wanted to, I will tear down this pack apart and I will make sure that anyone that touches her die," I snarled as they were backing out of me. I saw that Caleb was talking to his father.
"He's right. I don' wish to break their bond father. They belonged together and it took Arthur to be 25 to find his mate. Maybe I will find her later, father," he said as Alpha was looking at his son.
"I want my mate, real mate. Not the ones that were arranged to marry me. You and mom found each other. Please, give me a chance to find her," Caleb argued with his father before Beta snorted.
"Even if you find your mate, Caleb, it will be a long time to ensure the safety of the heir. You need to get married immediately. I will not tolerate it any longer," Alpha said as Beta was smirking. Xavier was listening to all of the conversations right now.
"No, I will not allow you to dictate my life again. You can say that goodbye," Caleb said before he took off and Alpha was calling after him.
"Caleb!"
Xavier excused himself, to follow Caleb before he turned to go after him. I looked at Beta who was snorting again before he talked to Alpha.
"Alpha, if I may," I said as they both turned to look at me. I pulled Diana to my side as I tucked her safely under my arms.
"I know that Beta wished to let his daughter marry Caleb but I think she can make that decision on her own. She was a strong woman and a warrior. I can assure you that she did not wish to marry Caleb as well, I said before I turned to look at Diana. I smiled at her as I urged her to take a stand.
She turned to look at her father and Alpha. She took a deep breath as she was closing her eyes. She opened it and I can see the determination in her slate orbs.
"Father, Alpha. I know that you wish for this union to happen but I don't want to. Not after I know that I have my mate," she said as she was taking my hand.
"I want Caleb to have what I have, true mate. And with that, I will not marry him," she said as she was looking at Alpha. The Alpha sighed before he was smiling at Diana. He nodded before he turned to leave us. Beta turned to look at us before narrowing his eyes.
"This is not over and you, daughter, will regret every second of it," he said before leaving.
