In the spacious dining hall, When Shirou and Negi hasn't arrived yet to the dining hall. The girls from class 3-a who love Shirou and some of the girls from class 3-a who love Negi, namely Makie, Ayaka, Nodoka, and Yue are currently having a serious conversation about who will sit next to Shirou or Negi when the two of them arrived at the dining hall later.
Negi and Shirou both already have girlfriends, namely Rin and Anya. So it was clear that Rin and Anya that the one would be sitting next to them Shirou and Negi. It was clear all the other girls from class 3-a wouldn't let that happen, that's why Rin had been tied up with ropes plus chains in her room by Sakura and Luvia while Anya was tied up in the same way by Ayaka and Makie when she was taking a bath in the shower after she woke up from her fainting.
After the students from class 3-a had talked for more than five minutes and couldn't find an agreement who would be the one sit next to Shirou and Negi at breakfast time.
"At this rate neither of us will sit next to Shirou-kun!" Kasumi shouted. "We have to do something to determine who will sit next to Shirou-kun at breakfast!"
"Likewise about who will be sitting next to Negi-Sensei at breakfast which will start in 5 minutes!" Shouted Ayaka who didn't want anyone to sit next to Negi except for her. "We have to hurry because Negi-Sensei will be coming to this dining hall soon!"
