John died in a car accident. He was trying to save a girl to be run over by a truck when suddenly the truck ran him over. He was currently in a white room sitting on a couch.
"Where am I?" he said.
"John my boy," a powerful voice said, "you're as dead as a doornail," the voice chuckled.
"Who are you?" John said.
"Look around you," the voice said, "look at the way you're floating and what's inside you."
"What's inside me?" John asked.
"You are the one with the hidden secrets of your mind and you are the one that holds them all. You are the source of all mysteries and the devil of all secrets. If you were in another place you would have been killed by now. I know this because I am here. I am God and I'll bestow upon you a power."
"What? You are God?"
"Yes," the voice said, "but only for a short time. I have been watching you for a long time now, and I know that you want a powerful gift."
"Are you going to give me a system power like in those random Asian novels that I read so much?" John asked salivating.
"Yes. For the time being," the voice said, "I'll give you the power to dominate other people. You will control other people by having a voice in their heads. You will control other people by having a touch on their minds. The greater your level is at a certain skill, the greater the power."
"So, it is like RPG?" John asked. RPG was his favorite game of course.
He had a lot of interest in it, and he liked that the players would have a lot of freedom and not be limited by the rules.
"Yes, it is RPG," the voice said. "But you will be forced to play by the rules. You will have to answer to me. It will be a game of one against one. But you will have a lot of fun playing. I can feel your soul now," the voice said.
"What?" John asked.
"I can feel your soul," the voice said, "and it is the power you need to survive. You must find the power of the soul, and I can feel it. You must find it, and I can help you find it."
"I must look for it?" John said.
"Exactly," the voice said. "And it's not going to be that easy. The more you control the mind of another person, the more powerful that person will be. The more power you have, the more powerful the person you control. The more control you have over another person, the stronger that person will be. The more power you have over another person, the more powerful the person you control will be."
"What the hell does that mean?" John asked.
"It means that your life is going to be short. Your life is going to be short and miserable. You will not know what you want. You will not know what you want until you get the power and you will not know what you want until you have the power."
"I just died and my life will be miserable?" John asked, "you're a very lame God."
"Yes, you will be miserable," the voice said. "But it will be less miserable than dying. Death will take you away from everything you care about. You will never know what you want. But you will have power."
"How do I get that power?" John asked.
"There are many ways," the voice said. "You must find the power of the soul. But I will give you a method."
"Well, that sounds very Godly," John said.
"Try saying 'Status window'," the voice said.
"Status window," John said.
