'Hmmm~' Hanako hummed softly while taking her clothes off to have a shower. She always enjoyed taking shower at night time because it helped her relax after a hectic day.
She recently got a job at a magazine company as a writer. Next monday will be her first day officially as a writer.
She noticed something in the shower. She was so surprised that she nearly screamed!
'Phew...' She sighed in relief when she saw that it was just a small red bird with golden eyes. 'But red....how unusual!' As she got out of the shower, she whispered to the bird. 'Are you hungry? I'll get something for you to eat!' She thought to herself, that there is no way it could understand what she was saying. However, the bird looked like it understood what she said. She muttered, 'What a ridiculus thought. I'm not even a Snow White from the fairy tale who can talk to birds! But I sure hope it stays there until I get something.' She got a little bit of seeds for the bird to eat. To her surprise, the red bird was waiting for her. She gave some seeds to him and watched it eat happily. Then it flew away.
The bird flew into her house everyday and she named him Ruby, as she always thought its feathers were as beautiful as ruby.
Next monday.
Hanako was busy packing her bag, humming. It was her first day at the job after all. She was excited for her work.
As she arrived at the office, a young lady welcomed her. She thought the girl looked cute with her blonde hair braided on both sides of her hair.
'Welcome to Fashiontime Magazine!' The girl smiled broadly. 'I'm Luna! Ask me anything if you need to!'
What a fitting name, Hanako thought. 'Hi, I'm Hanako! Nice to meet you!' As Luna gleefully chitchatted, Hanako saw a beautiful man with silky white hair and red eyes. 'Hey...Luna.' 'Hmm?' 'Who's that?' 'Oh that's our president. Handsome, isn't he?'
'He's beautiful!'
'But I heard he is a little bit weird. You see the hat he is wearing? I heard he never takes them off, even when he is eating!'
'Hmm I'm sure he has his reasons.'
'That's not all! People say he gets real angry if people touch him in any ways, and he doesn't even shake hands with people. He must have germ phobia. Oh and also when people touches his prescious hat.'
'Oh he sounds.....'
'Interesting?'
'Like a doormat.'
'Phhtttt!!'
Luna confidently went to him and introduced Hanako.
'Hi, I've come to introduce our new writer, Hanako Yuuki!'
'Hi, Yoshida Kuni. Looking forward to work with you.' He smiled. Hanako thought he looked quite gentle, different to what Luna told her.
'Now, Luna....'
'Yes!'
'Did you remember to show our new member where things are?'
'Ah! Uhhh...uhh...oohh....that....'
Even Hanako could feel his nasty glares towards Luna. Poor Luna, she thought.
His eyes were shining manacingly as he heard her answer. Hanako thought he might start chopping her head off!
'Forgive me!!! I...I'll go now! Sorry, Hanako....I always do this when we have new members...I get too excited that I forget what I'm supposed to do!'
'I...It's ok really!'
'No, it is not. Do not waste her time anymore. We have lots of work to do.' The president hissed angrily.
'Oh...ok...boss...wahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!'
She ran off in tears, and Hanako followed her. It was obvious that she was terrified of the boss. Even Hanako, who rarely gets scared got a chill from meeting the boss. She was starting to worry about her worklife. How am I going to work under this person...? She sighed.
