MATTHEW
"Let me ask you, what was it that you had hoped to seek?"
Zeuxis has asked me this question.
"What do you mean?"
"I meant what you had hoped to find, when you took the body."
"What? Look, you're gonna have to be more specific, and I didn't kill anyone, or steal anything."
"You...were a soul correct? You died but could still speak and observe."
"Something of the sort?"
"The body in which you reside in, is mine, give it back to me, or I intend to have it one way or another."
"Yours?"
This body wasn't the one created by the gods? Then...that one the body he has, is the one that was supposed to be mine?
"That can't be right, the gods made this body for me, they even said to make it look like me, that body you have doesn't look like me."
"The gods did this? No, that body is mine, I know it, I feel the embers that are confined within, don't you want your blessed body returned?"
"I don't want a body that isn't mine, much less with a different face then mine."
"Fine." Zeuxis readied his spear, "I have another way to take back what is mine, and mine alone."
He lunged at me twisting his arm spinning in the air, then slamming the spear it me with full force.
"Ugh!" I rolled to the side, and looked back to see a small crater.
{tier 3: steel enchantment}
Zeuxis had reinforced his iron spear into one made of pure steel.
{tier 2: body strengthening}
Body strengthening? This would be like fighting Ainz!
Zeuxis charged at me, throwing his spear, then kicking it's shaft, propelling it.
I couldn't avoid it, I looked down to see the spear plunged into my lung.
"...sh...it..."
He rushed in and pulled the spear out of my chest.
"Dammit, haven't you learned anything? Integrating into my body right now is too dangerous,...I was expecting more."
He tossed the spear to the side, then looked back to me.
"Hold still, ill heal yo—what? What is that?"
My wounds were closing, far too fast, in seconds the wound had healed, and strength imbued into my body, strength.
"Mother...mother adores you more? No, then...why?"
I stood up, seeing the powerful one, who had pushed me to such lengths, kneeling before me.
"Who is your mother?"
"I haven't met her, but you...you have."
I remembered the dream, about the girl, about the crow woman.
"...Hecate."
AINDREA
What the hell? He was overpowering Matt, but then he just slouched down onto his knees!
"Ainz! What happened? Did Matt learn some crazy move or something?!"
"I don't know, Acacius."
Zeuxis just kneeled there looking somber, until he picked up his spear again, not with the determination I had seen before, but a hatred, and burning sorrow gleaming in his eyes.
MATTHEW
"I have to kill you, if...maybe if I kill you Mother will finally recognize me."
He raised his head and looked at me, "she should have me for a son, instead of you, fake."
"Then why is it my face on this body instead of yours?"
His face scrunched up in sadness then confusion.
"I—I don't know! It's...it's probably just some magic, or ego or something!"
Shook his head his hatred reinvented, and charged towards me.
{tier 6: giants strength}
He blew a hole in the ground right next to me, like a meteor, I looked back at him and looked at the spot where my wound was supposed to be, I remembered the black flames that had healed my wounds, unsheathed my sword and stabbed it.
"What the—" Zeuxis looked over with a shocked face.
When I pulled the sword out it was covered in black flames, and the flames danced with embers embroidering it, and a lone shriveled soul keeping to itself, it was me.
I looked towards Zeuxis and my face began to form saddened features.
"I'm sorry."
The last words I said to him, words that I wish I could've said to the loved ones, I had to before, to my Mother, and my Father, in this world and the past.
"And thank you."
With that I thrust my sword and the world shone black.
