"Iris! You live next door?"
Iris pushed her shoulder length hair behind her left ear. "I've always lived here," she replied, confused. Anemone hadn't been out on her balcony since she arrived at the townhouse. This was also her first time coming to the city. Before, she had always declined and stayed at the manor, hoping to see her fairy prince again.
Looking around, she noticed Iris was sitting in a chair with wheels. Her thin frame was covered with a thick sweater and blankets, a white dress peeking below. Anemone remembered Iris had told her she was constantly sick and didn't go out much.
"I love your balcony, Ane," Iris commented. "It's very pretty with all the flowers."
"Thanks, Iris," she smiled back. When she looked around, she noticed Iris's balcony had nothing. It had the same black iron railing and space. A table near Iris with two chairs was the only furniture. "If you like, I can bring some over for your balcony?"
"Really?" Iris enthused. "That would be so lovely! My favorite flowers are roses but they're too big to have on a balcony. Any flower would be nice actually."
Anemone thought for a moment. "There are lots of different types of roses. In fact, my mother is very knowledgeable about them. Her name is Rose."
"Really?"
"I'll ask my mother for one small enough to put on your balcony. Is there a color you like?"
Iris stared at Anemone, her eyes attracted to her hair. "I love the color red."
She looked back at Iris in surprise. "Really? I don't like the color. My favorite color is blue."
Iris exclaimed happily, "Like my eyes?" She touched the side of her face with both hands and blushed. Anemone stared at Iris's eyes. They were really pretty, like her sapphire. It was a deep sparkling blue, like the ocean. Anemone nodded to her.
"Your eyes are very beautiful, Iris."
"Thank you," Iris said, looking down shyly, only to look up and smile mischievously. "My brothers also have the same eyes as me too."
Anemone blinked at the sudden change and looked away. Trying to be oblivious, she continued her job of watering her plants. "Your brothers? How old are they?"
Iris poked her cheek and pouted. "Hmm... I have an older brother who is two years older than me and a twin brother who looks like me!"
Anemone stopped to think. "I only have one younger brother. How... How old are you, Iris?"
Iris counted her fingers. "I'll be ten this year I think. Do you like older guys, Ane?"
Anemone sighed exasperatedly. "Are you trying to hook me up with your brothers?"
Iris covered her smile. "It would be nice to have you as a sister in law. Do you not like me trying to matchmake you?"
Anemone brushed her hair back awkwardly. "We can still be friends." She finished watering the plants and put the vase on a nearby table. "I'm glad I can see you again. I haven't apologized for last visit."
"Last visit?" Iris questioned.
