"Why?"
You must…"
"No."
Nell looks at the men who are whispering to each other in the corner. Eli wraps his arm around the man's shoulder and lowers his head, telling something in an inaudible voice. She can tell -- although she can't hear them -- that he is cooking something. He has been oddly complacent about letting her see what would have happened if things didn't happen the way he did.
She shakes her head, letting out a sigh of exasperation. He should take her out on a date instead. A normal date. She recalls how they had dinner after they married in court in the human world. Why did things change? They aren't even married for a year. She clicks her tongue. They aren't married at all. They are engaged. Did he forget to take her out on dinner?
"Tch!" She is supposed to be the husband. "Maybe I should ask him out on a date."
