"I thought so, we were told about the powers that you people possessed though the name 'myth' was never introduced. I've been thinking about it for a while and it did make sense. Your training when you were younger has definitely paid off. "
I blinked a few times before replying.
"If you shared this information with anyone,"
I said to him with a deadly voice laced with poison.
"Are you sure that your not part demon?"
Osric said to me with his eyebrows raised. I gave him a look and huffed at his words. Of course I'm not you idiot demon.
"Maybe it's not only your physical body that needs growing,"
"Are you saying I'm childish!"
Well you just hit a sore spot buddy! I dived for him and my hands were out and aimed for his throat. Though all the while smiling.
"Your getting it now!"
I shouted as my hands went around his neck.
"Honestly, so childish,"
He said back at me, not bothering to avoid or resist my attack.
Our banter continued for a while and in that moment I forgot completely about everything, the principle, the reason I was at school, the school itself, the demons. It was just Osric and Michael.
...
I looked around at the fights that were going on around me, some petty, some with big crowds, I looked with indifference. I am getting too use to this for me own good.
I sighed and focused my attention back on the big building in front of me. Osric, paying close attention as well, my gold eye shone from Osric's strong urge to go in. I went for the building, more commonly known as the building of the royal court. There were eyes on me as I entered the prestigious building, the fighting was at a minimal as they watched a person walk into the building.
The building was three levels and since there are only twenty one people on the royal court there is a system. The first floor there were three classes, the class of mortals, the class of trial and the class of purgatory. On the second floor there were two classes, the class of the palace and the class of Cosmos, then finally the third floor, it had one class and it was the class of the joker, Noah's class.
I went in and straight for the stairs when I suddenly saw someone not in a classroom, I didn't recognise him so he must of been away or something like that.
I planned to ignore him and be on my way but that was a bit difficult, especially when said person deliberately gets in your way.
"Hey, boy with the scar, come over here for a sec would ya?"
I kept walking, paying no mind to him or his words.
"Come on, don't be like that, it's fine if your a bit late. Just go with the flow. Don't be so rigid, I'll say it again, come over here for a sec would ya?"
He was persistent, almost annoyingly so in the current situation.
"What do you want?"
I asked with a twist of my head, not bothered to go up to him and ask. He was a tall kid with brown hair, spiky and all over the place, a small face that had brown eyes and a careless smile. His figure was thin and lean with long legs and a jacket tied around his waist. He had his hands behind his head as he confidently stood his ground.
"Don't be shy and come over, let me take a good look at those eyes of yours,"
This guy was getting on my nerves, I needed to go to the class of the joker, it was urgent! Can't you see I'm in the middle of something? I heard a scoff in my head.
'Now you know how I felt when you summoned me, I hope you will consider others feelings,'
I sighed, definitely.
I walked over to the half crazy guy.
"You've got the same eyes as the magician and boss. It's a rare colour and even rarer to see it only one of your eyes. "
He inspected me while I was standing there impatiently.
"If that's all, I'd like to leave."
I was in a rush to get to the top. He put a hand on my shoulder I froze at the sudden contact and the change in the atmosphere. This guy was no joke.
"Don't be so hasty, I haven't even gotten a good look at you yet,"
I turned around and looked at him, a sly smile with narrowed eyes to match.
"Now be a good boy and stay still for me,"
He said. With a hand on my shoulder and the other hanging it looked at him suspiciously. He took a big breath and his smile disappeared for a second as he closed his eyes then when he opened them, his smile came back.
"My Lady Luck, have a look,"
One of his eyes changed, i had to fight the urge to change my own.
'Osric, what's with this guy?'
There were colours in his eye, placed around the iris in a wheel. Once they solidified they started turning, first slowly, then quickly and eventually they became a blur.
'I think he might have a potential,'
It didn't seem like a potential but to have a good look at it I need to change my eye.
"Calm down kiddo, if karma brought you here then go with it, there's nothing you can do to stop it,"
His smile grew as his eyes suddenly stopped. But as they did his smile then dropped and he looked at me, inspecting me again. There was silence as he looked at me, resembling nothing of the half crazed guy from before. Then a sad smile adorned his face as he took his hand off my shoulder. Huh, this is different.
"Kiddo, I feel sorry for you, let my lady gift you with a better life after death"
He walked off, these people I swear. My growth I swear. If people are going to treat me like a kid then what's the point of being 16?
I was left there frozen, pondering over the words he said. My Lady Luck huh? That guy was one of the royal court members and I did some research into the tarot cards. He must be the wheel of fortune then. Do all members of the royal court have this power?
I finally remembered to walk after standing there for who knows how long. I went upstairs in the empty silence that surrounded me. The eyes were still on me but I could feel they were cautious.
Well, I must do more research into the wheel of fortune. He might of given me some useful or useless information.
