Prince Lance noticed the smirked plastered on the goddess' face seated in front of him. At first, he thought that the Queen might have no idea what it was since it happened seven years ago before her kingdom was established, but after hearing her comment on the issue made him more interested in her.
"So this grand council meeting was called just because you fear an "insignia" not mention a raven insignia. What? it's not like an insignia can hurt you." Deep in Ariya's heart, she have no idea why her insignia was on the letter. She too have doubts. ' Who could have done this?' she thought. A lot of the royalties were focused on the new Queen and her snide remarks.
"Your Highness, because your kingdom is new that's why you didn't know the history of the great sorcere--" before Prince Lance can continue, he was cut off by Ariya.
"Of course I know her. She devoted her whole life for your kingdom and yet you chose to believe an outsider that her right?" Silence filled the room. Ariya knows that most of them are an accomplice for her downfall so she cannot overlook this chance to get bits of info out of these fools.
"Prince Lance, you shouldn't look down on me, I am not a Queen for nothing and besides, which of my words are wrong? Isn't your kingdom turned back on her because of an accusation that's even baseless?" This is it. Prince Lance never experienced in his whole to be humiliated like this, but he didn't dislike it, in fact, he's more challenged.
"My Queen..." Ariya's brow twitched at the mention of this statement, yet on the other hand, the Prince seemed to enjoy their little conversations.
"...these royalties present here knew exactly how powerful the owner of the insignia here." Ariya chuckled lightly. The expressions present inside the room were mocking her. She knew in her heart how these kingdoms joined forces and pointed their swords at her. How could she forget it? It's always haunting her in her dreams.
"Well it's obvious how powerful it is. Even the the great kings and the Great crown Prince of Nielsen became so pitiful and helpless." King Conrad slammed the table startling everyone. Ariya smirked at the king's action, she liked the thought of provoking the king better than anybody else.
"How dare you say that to the Prince!" Princess Tatiana shouted pointing a finger at Ariya. Ariya raised her brow and smiled murderously, which again, made the Prince's heartbeat fast. ' A very interesting treasure I must say.' he thought to himself.
'I dare to say that to the Prince. I mean why not? He haven't done anything yet aside from smiling foolishly to everyone.' She grimaced at the thought but kept it to herself. Fury rose from the King when she saw how this Queen humiliated his son, he stood and glared at the goddess in front of him.
"Calm down everyone. It's fine, everything might be new to her, and she's just starting her Kingdom. Maybe she has no idea about what happened seven years ago." Prince Lance calmly said and nodded at Ariya.
"It's actually new to me. How could a Princess point her finger at a Queen. Did the Kingdom of Alzian forget what hierarchy of power is?" Princess Tatiana chuckled at her remark.
"You're just a new built kingdom! Why would I have high regards of you?" Now it's Ariya's time to laugh.
"Hmm, makes sense. But never forget young lady," Ariya stood up patting her dress as if there were dirt on it.
"You're just a princess, I'm a queen. You should know when and to whom you would bow down to." With that, Ariya turned and walk away.
"Wait!" Prince Lance called him.
"Please don't leave yet your highness, the meeting is not yet over." he added.
"This meeting is never my concern to begin with. If you want to fearfully flock together just because you're afraid of a raven, then that's it for you." and with that she left with her stallion.
