A banquet was held in the Atkins Mansion to celebrate the marriage of the eldest young master of the Atkins family. Businessmen, politicians, well-renowned doctors, retired military personnel, almost all of them were present. Passerby were awestruck to see such grandeur. There was topmost security around the mansion. Oliver was in charge of the security of the whole place. Guests could be seen arriving in high profile cars, and each of them were glamorous.
The Prime Minister of the Country came with his wife and congratulated Old Man Atkins on his grandson's successful marriage. Topmost politicians arrived with their spouses and children. The atmosphere was lively. Everyone was trying to make connections with the higher classes of people. The clinking of wine glasses could be heard. Everyone could see the power of the Atkins family.
A young woman clad in an emerald green clothes, with matching jewelry could be seen entering the gates of Atkins Mansion. She was wearing a masquerade emerald green mask with gold embellishments. Beside her were two tall young men who were well known throughout the country. Oliver, who was in charge of managing the security was dumbfounded to see her. 'This monster came?', he thought. 'Bro is surely doomed.'
Everyone was in awe of her beauty. Although the mask covered half of her face, her beauty could be seen. The slender woman glided through the floor, and reached the bride and groom standing at the center. She laughed melodiously and asked, "Am I late?"
Robert woke up from his reverie, and said, "No, not at all."
"Here is your gift.", she handed something to the bride and hugged her. "Don't open it now. Open it when you both are alone.", she whispered to the bride. Then she smiled.
Robert could not calm the storm in his heart. Her smile, her laughter pricked his already bleeding heart.
'She came?', he thought. The young men by her side came to them, and congratulated them. They stood behind the young woman clad in green. They were like her bodyguards.
"Just who is this young woman?", Everyone thought, absolutely curious about the identity of the young men. Alas, they could only guess, they would never know.
"Cough cough." Grandfather Atkins cleared his throat gently which attracted the attention of the guests. He did not understand why this young lady gained attention as soon as she came in. On the other side the eldest daughter-in-law of the Atkins family was seen gnashing her teeth in anger. Why did she choose Lily to be her son's bride? This woman should have married his son. 'I would try my best to separate them, so that I can make him marry this young girl.' She started scheming in her own mind. Her plan was made. She must know this girl to bring her plan to fruition.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our Atkins family. Today is the joyous occasion of our family. Let's welcome the newest member of our family, Lily. This is my eldest granddaughter-in-law." He introduced Lily to everyone. Robert gave a pained smile. He could see Sophie chapping her hands. 'Have you really let me go?'
Everyone was congratulating him on his wedding, but he was feeling empty inside. He could not calm his mind. He did not know what Sophie has planned, but marrying someone in front of his beloved, was really unbearable.
