After the serious discussion between the friends, they went on to reminisce about the time they spent with each other. They were childhood buddies but due to some circumstances they got separated. Although they were separated earlier, they were connected by hearts.
They chatted happily and sometimes Ruby could be seen stealing glances at Chester. But when Giselle noticed her, she elbowed her and Ruby pouted cutely. She then looked elsewhere, avoiding looking at Chester. Upon seeing this, Giselle stifled a laugh.
Robert sat in his seat but looked extremely melancholic. Sitting beside him, Oliver noticed his brother's mood and then raised his voice to suggest, "Hey guys, let's play truth or dare."
The girls squealed but the guys groaned. Everyone looked at Robert and Chester. They were waiting for them to say something. Robert said, "Alright."
Chester nodded in agreement saying, "No problem."
The game of truth and dare began. Everyone reshuffled their seats by sitting in a circle. A table was placed at the centre and various shots were kept and the empty wine bottle was used to play. Oliver rotated the bottle and it rotated for a while before stopping. It pointed towards Natalie and the person sitting opposite Natalie was Giselle. "Are you ready my dear?", Giselle asked with naughtiness in her voice.
Natalie knew that she was so dead but sighed and replied, "Yup."
"So, truth or dare?"
Half of the room was shouting, "Dare dare dare ....."
But she chose truth. For the first time, truth is safe.
"Truth, huh? So Nat, tell us who was your first crush?"
Natalie was furious, "You already know this, yet you are asking me?"
"So what? Everyone here is eager to know.", sayong so, she glanced at Elliot.
Natalie glanced at Elliot and saw that he was looking at her with rapt attention. She slowly said, "Um, actually it was Caleb." She again glanced nervously at Elliot but found no emotion on his handsome face.
Natalie rotated the bottle and it rotated for some time before stopping in front of William and as Oliver was sitting opposite him, he directly asked him, "Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Tell us about your girlfriend."
"Huh? Will has a girlfriend and we don't know.", Ben stared foolishly at William hoping that he would deny. But he didn't.
"It's okay, tell them bro. They need to know.", Giselle patted his shoulder.
"Even you know? Who else knows?", Ben questioned again.
"Sophie.", Giselle replied.
"What?", Ben was shocked. Chester looked at William and knew something was amiss. 'How the hell did Oliver know about his girlfriend when nobody else knows.', he thought.
"Her name was Abigail Parker. She was one of the sweetest girl I've ever seen in my life.", William started telling his story. At this point, everyone was paying full attention to his words. "She was very beautiful and bubbly since her childhood. Although she used to socialize less, she could speak non-stop for hours. Once, the Parker family had a meeting with Browns, so, my grandfather took me to their house. The old generation were talking among their own and I was bored, so my grandfather suggested me to go to the garden. I obediently went to the back garden to get some fresh air. That was the time I first met her. She was learning to play piano. She was laughing at something her instructor was telling her. Her laughter was like a bright sunshine in winter, gentle breeze in the summer. It's hard to explain in words. Anyone can laugh in such a carefree manner? It was unbelievable to me. But the world had some different plans....", William choked.
"What happened next?", Oliver asked.
"Enough guys.", Giselle reprimanded him.
Chester frowned. 'Something is fishy.' But he did not have time to think as William rotated the bottle and it soon pointed towards him. Ruby, who was sitting opposite him looked into his eye and questioned, "Truth or Dare?"
"Truth."
"Whoa, everyone is choosing truth?", Elliot asked jokingly to relieve the gloomy atmosphere.
"Shut up.", Ruby said and then turned to Chester, "My question is simple, do you love someone?"
She bit her lower lips anticipating something.
"No."
She released the breath which she did not know she was holding.
