Slowly I broke the seal.
"What would be in the letter?" I thought. "Why is there even a letter? You don't know if the person whom it's directed to would ever find it. So why do you leave it like this?"
I pulled out the letter, starting to read. I read quite a while, there were many information in there. A tear left my eye, dripping down my cheek. If that what was standing there was truth...
I tried to remember. I did, I remembered but told myself it was imagination. I did it already the past few years.
Whenever there was a picture in my head I shook it away, I was used to it. And I already knew I had great fantasy, so why should I believe in such things?
I went on like this: The letter wasn't for me, the painting was a coincidence, I had to much imagination. It couldn't be any other.
I put the letter down quickly and went straight to bed as I saw the time: 4:37 am! I was way to late!!!
As I lied in bed I couldn't think about any other than this letter. If I thought clearly about it everything matched well. Even moms diary would match in. It couldn't be. I thought a long time about it and finally fell into light sleep.
I woke up. Called somebody? The sun was standing high already, how long must I've been sleeping?
"Lilliana, where are you? Come out!", I heard somebody shout again.
I was dizzy. It was difficult to get to the wardrobe in this state, but it finally worked out. I looked out the large, white window after dressing up.
"There you are Lilliana! I've tried to find you for two hours now!"
"It's you Erika? Sorry, I didn't notice! I slept till now.", I shouted.
"What?!? You were sleeping till noon? Did I hear right?"
"Yeah, some circumstances... I'll explain later.", and I was on my way downstairs.
I ran trough the whole house and almost fell down the stairs in my hurry. Damn! Oh, get your language straight! You're girl and not supposed to say such things.
But on the other hand - here I was, tring to survive this world, while I couldn't even walk down the stairs properly. Such a shame, isn't it?
Out of breath I opened the door. Was that a run of living and dying or what?
"Good morning!", I huffed while trying to catch my breath.
"Yeah... Noon.", Erika corrected, "You forgot my brother?"
"Oh, right he was coming home, wasn't he? Eh, one moment, why aren't you with him?", I asked.
"I had a good idea! My brother will teach you fighting! So come on now!", she said, not explaining any more.
"And you? Will you join us?", I asked. Dumb question as I already knew the answer was going to be "No" anyways.
"No, don't feel like doing sports.", she said.
"When did you ever?", I sighted very dissapointed.
"Never.", she said. And she even was happy about it! Is she crazy or what? I couldn't imagine a life without sports!
I was more like the wild bee, while she was the sweet little girl. It wasn't my stile but that didn't matter.
"My brother already prepared something for your lesson.", she hummed, and then added: "And I've prepared the cake as well."
I grinned. That was typical for her.
"And have you told your brother that I am a zero in fighting?", I asked a little down.
"Yeah, yeah, I told him.", she answered.
"Thanks, what did he say?"
"Con said it wouldn't matter. And as far as I know you, you're going to do just fine."
"Hey, you two!", Con called after he'd seen us walking into the garden.
"Good morning Con! I haven't seen you in a while, how are you doing?", I spew exited and hugged him friendly. As he was still here, living with his family we were good friends, he, Erika and me. That were great times.
"Fine, and you?", he laughed, "By the way it's noon already."
"Oh, I'm sorry! Yes, I'm doing fine as well.", I said.
After a long silence I added: "Uh, by the way, where are your parents?"
"They're buying food.", Erika murmured.
"What?", I almost screamed, "It's dangerous down there!"
"Hey girls, come down, what's up?", Con said, stepping between us.
"You don't know?", I asked in surprise and shock.
"I guess not.", he replied.
"Here are slave traffickers everywhere, you can't go shopping all alone, it's dangerous!", I almost shouted again, "Come on, we have to find them!"
It's my character, I care for other people more than for myself. And then I overreact, because I'm a very active child.
And so I ran away without thinking any further.
Erika's POV
"I didn't remember Lilliana was like that.", my brother murmured under his breath, while taking two swords with him and running after Lilliana.
He thinks about everything, it doesn't matter in which situation we are in, he thinks carefully about every choice we could choose.
However I was staying at home and will try some new dishes. I walked to the door and took out my keys, putting one into the hole.
I suddenly felt a pain flashing trough my head. I fell... felt someone catching me and felt darkness afterwards.
It felt so... good, it saved me from my pain, slowly overwhelming me like a deep, comforting sleep.
