Lexus turned her to face him. With a face full of grievance, his deep and cold voice traveled into the ears of October, "I'll take responsibility for you and my child. Marry me."
"No." October immediately rejected through gritted teeth. She doesn't want to tie him down. She doesn't want to take away his freedom using her child as leverage for their marriage. She knows that if she'll agree, her child won't be fatherless. But...her heart can't bear the fact to be married to the man who makes her heart beat this fast but doesn't feel the same way for her. Yes! She is being stubborn and selfish to the point of refusing her child to have a complete family.
Taking in a sharp yet shaky breath, October coldly said, "No need. I'm already responsible enough to take care of my child." She rejected and turned to leave but was then yanked back and bumped into his hard chest.
