After the day that Peizhi had took the position as President and CEO of the Halo Company, October's work had significantly increased. But being someone who was equally stubborn and does not want to be looked down upon or show any weakness in front of Peizhi, October worked on it neatly and timely. There was no work she had done that needed to be rechecked or needed to be sent back for revision. Her work was so flawless that Peizhi could not help but only to swallow his annoyance at how amazing of an employee October was.
"How are you faring? Is your work okay?" Lexus asked while hugging October while watching a random show on TV in their living room. He was really troubled about how October was doing while seeing that bstard in her work. Was she stressed? He hoped not.
"Is that man making trouble to you? Do you…" Lexus paused, hesitant. "Do you want to take a leave? Take an early maternity leave."
