Chapter 47 - Stupid CEO 2/2

I read many CEO novels and was really shocked to see the ratings, why women loved to be caged into some stupid commitment and why women loved those kinda of stuffs? It was beyond my knowledge.

Nevertheless after studying and analysis a pile of those narrations, I prepared a contract. As I was already a CEO and all I needed was to force Syna in that commitment through contract and 'boom'. She will fall for me as those authors wrote in their novellas.

"But I want something in return, Mr President."

My eyes opened wide, face creased with suspicion that she might be thinking what I was, and my cheeks flushed instantly.

I was not that kind of man who was submissive to a woman but really did not know what came across my mind, I lowered my eyes and spoke shyly as a smile graced my face.

"Miss Syna, I'm really not that kind of guy."

At his words I wanted to hit that man's head into a wall. Or at least whack him in the face. What the hell he was thinking of ME, stupid CEO.

"No-not that kind of thing, Mr Sinclair. You have misunderstood my words. I want to sign a contract with you but I have a condition that no harm would reach people around me."

I stated the truth but his earlier words echoed in my mind. Don't know why but the young woman in me giggled deep down for having such a handsome man in front of me.

I was kind of pissed off upon hearing the contract thing but he was right in his presumption, I may back out or marry the Ghost King instead if Mr President, Sinclair.

Moreover, I was supposed to be his sister-in-law, thus, placing forwards his terms and conditions were obvious. The main thing that intrigued me was did he know that I was having some sort of feelings for him?

But it didn't matter to me at that time because at least I got my love, my Sinclair. No doubt he could provide me security and as he himself said beforehand that he was my only solution.

"So, what contract is this?"

He was confused and suspicious upon my demand. Questions continue to hum and buzz within him as I believed that. Of course everything comes with a price.

"Don't worry Miss Syna, you won't suffer any harm and neither any evil reach your loved ones. This contract will benefit both of us."

Maybe I hit right by saying yes to him. He informed his PA via intercom. While I became busy in scanning  his cabin, which I never did before as his PA.

"Mr Rhodes come with the papers."

His new PA sprinted in with an envelope, I scoffed at once, he got someone on my place that early. In between the whole chaos I completely forgot that I already got my 'big news'.

His PA gazed at me with something in his eyes. No it wasn't suspicion rather he was hating me. Oh my Goodness! It was obvious he thought of me as a characterless woman.

"Mr Rhodes you can go."

Somehow I could see clearly that Sinclair didn't liked the act of his PA, so raised his voice a little and nodded to him as a sign of dismissal.

"Here open it."

He pushed the envelope towards me.

I read it carefully while he stared at me with meaningful gaze. Maybe he wanted to give me some briefings. So, I immediately tried to think of either conditions that I could place forward.

"As this is a marriage contract Miss Syna, it states different conditions which will be applicable on both parties. The marriage will be kept hidden from the media for one month. After that I will announce it to the public."

"It's a win-win situation Miss Syna, you will have monthly money and will gain publicity by marrying me. And your presence will solve my problems. And as this is a contract marriage it will end after exactly six months and you'll be given a huge amount."

He informed me the whole matter after that he remained quiet, staring in my eyes. I found it weird but didn't let him dominate me, I was supposed to tame him even he placed this contract, I wouldn't let him leave me.

"How dare you? You rich people are unbelievable, can't you just keep this 'money' aside? Right now you are taking advantage of my need."

I burst out pointing towards him, I flared up but he kept quiet staring at me eerily, the nerve of this guy. How dare he talk to me about materialistic things!

So what!? If he was some fucking CEO and the brother of that bastard Ghost King, how could he think of me so low, thinking that I was there because of money.

"I will quit if you keep on spouting 'money, money', I don't need publicity and your money, Keep that."

He tossed the chair back with a smile as I was about to storm out of his cabin thinking of banging the door loudly.

"This guy!"

I slammed on my both palms on the table staring at the contract and sighed. If he wanted that shit, I will give it to him. After all I loved him and wanted to be with him, including escaping from that curse of marrying the Ghost King.

"Okay. I will sign it. Pen?"

I inhaled deeply and raised my one brow while he handed over a gel pen to me, he was smiling at me like a fool.

No wonder why I fell for his charismatic personality, despite his contractual shit and his emphasis on money, I still loved him and that smile caused some butterflies in my stomach.

Unknown to their fate they both were whipped in love, the snake of affection bit them both centuries ago and the venom of love was still circulating in their blood, the duo was connected by the mate bond.
