[Korven you need help?]
Korven turned his head in surprise. [OH THANK NUE YOU'RE AWAKE! We need to GO!]
I shakily took a few steps. [You seem like you have this pretty handled though?]
[My magic works best against a multitude of weaker enemies, but the stronger creatures are coming soon! I already faced one earlier, and almost got one of my legs torn off!]
The scary thing about magic is that when your own friends or allies get almost killed, sometimes you won't even know because they can heal themselves.
I channeled water magic to SCRUB this shit off of me, using light magic to try and help restore my state from this absolute fatigue.
Instead I summoned a lot more water than intended, bitch slapping myself to the ground before my muscles suddenly felt fine as my fatigue vanished.
[...hatchling what the fuck.]
[My tolerance for mana is higher okay!] I flipped up with my soggy and still covered in gunk appearance.
I started towards him, only for some tendrils of darkness to head towards me as if the magic was sentient.
[Shit, can't control it-] Korven let out before cutting off as he tried to focus in holding his spell together away from me.
His darkness was used to consume lifeforce, and I have a bit of that, so I guess it naturally identifying me as food makes sense but...
A glow lit me up form inside as a pulse of light magic rippled from me, creating a dome around me which the darkness breach against as if liquid, only to burn away.
'Well I couldn't do THAT before.'
I ran over to Korven, lowering myself to let him get on, and he drew back all the dark and light magic into himself as he jumped onto my back, and I took off sprinting!
'God I wish I could fly already.'
And so we fled, with Korven doing his best not to puke at the smell of me.
Cause now I was not only covered in disgusting gunk and gore, but it was wet.
Hallelujah.

Kire sat in a meditative position.
'Refine... myself.'
What would that be like?
He flew out to the space between air and water before sitting like this in the abyss between.
He'd felt the moment the dragon had left, the same way it could feel when he entered.
He sat there.
Water and air.
Shouldn't this be easy? They already exist in the human body.
'After all, the human body is over 50% water...'
Kire's mind finally noticed and froze.
"How do I know any of this?"
'Obviously water and air existed inside the body because we drink and breathe, but where did I get this knowledge of how much exactly?'
His mind began pulling up memories.
'How did I know to channel lightning through water? I've never seen lightning strike the water, I should have no way of knowing what would happen. More so these... charges.'
As he sought it out in his mind, more flowed.
The knowledge of an atom, of charges positive and negative based on ion and magnetism, and as it all hit him like a truck he focused in on something else.
This knowledge seemed to come from the hatchling.
'Somehow a hatchling knows all this, and likely more with how it bent the lightning around itself, and stopped lightning from passing through water.'
'When bringing me back to life, somehow his will in his spells touched my soul and now a connection exists maybe?'
'But then why wouldn't this happen all awakened who heal another?'
'If he were a weaker creature it probably wouldn't have happened, right? The sheer power his will must hold to contain all this magic... that's probably why it could create such an effect.'
So along with the will came bits of knowledge?
But definitely incomplete...
'How can a hatchling know so much?'
Well, he couldn't ask now.
And if he has this knowledge, might as well put it to use!
'Air is breathed in, into the lungs to be transported through the body. Water in the form of blood carries this air.'
Water nourishes the body and transports the air needed to survive, while air is the fuel needed.
This was the rough idea of water and air in the body Kire had.
Slowly he focused more intensely... and a thin trail of vapor from the water magic and gas from the air magic moved towards him.
Blood from bone marrow, feeding into the rest of the body.
Bones... bone marrow.
Bones of ice, frozen gas. Bone marrow is water, with energy and power of lightning.
The blood flows and gives that energy, the bones are solid and unbreakable!
In the bed on which Kire slept, a strange phenomenon could be observed as a cloud of mist could be seen exhausted form his mouth as he slept, only to cover his own body.
The temperature dropped, and frost spread along the blankets and sheets covering him as well as his nightclothes, freezing them.
As a rush of wind and a small crackle of electricity flickered, they shattered into dust which melted, leaving many soggy pieces of cloth dust around the room blown away from him.
The wood frame burned from lightning and turned soggy and rotting from water, only to freeze and dry and burn all over again.
When an awakened fused with an element, it was a slow process because they had little access to the elements and had to slowly take it in from the environment bit by bit.
For Kire and myself however, we had access to a MASSIVE amount of that element. So we faced an issue not of speed, but how much we could handle!
Pain hit Kire, like blades in his own skin cutting him apart!
"AAAAAARGH!" He doubled over in reality, and flailed in the mana world.
'Hold... back... control...' he pushed back the flow, imagining a dam to limit the flow of water into the lake, a metaphor for the magic and himself, and managed to slow it down, the pain fading a bit into a burning sensation.
'Not enough! Still hurts-'
He began to twitch as electricity shot through him, leaving burns on the walls around him and setting the remains of the bed frame on fire!
For some time he focused, carefully controlling how much magic flowed into him as his body released a mist that interacted with the air and then was reabsorbed through the pores.
Lightning crackled around him and the very air shook, vibrating his bones, reaching through every inch of his flesh and body.
He stayed that way throughout the night, finally pushing the magic away once he gained enough control as he couldn't stop the flow until after hours of feeling it!
He dazedly opened his eyes to the magic still around him, somehow still asleep.
'Ouch... why did that-'
"HOLY SHIT!" He cut his own thoughts off in exclamation.
In the center, a star of multiple elements, now more light than others.
Surrounded by 5 clouds of magic with a noticeable empty space where darkness probably will one day go.
And further from that star, further out from the clouds of magic...
Multiple rims of ice filled with gas crackling with power, around a sphere of water and mist with an globe of air around it making a tiny atmosphere.
A small planet. An asteroid at best.
Maybe the size of a house compared to the size of Kire's avatar in this space... which compared with the LITERAL STAR in the center is absolutely insignificantly tiny!
But it was new, and it was there.
And it was Kire's own core.
Born from from the dragons.
Kire stared slack jawed, innately award of every inch of the asteroid, the power crackling in it and the water and mist in it, it's atmosphere and it's gas trapped in ice.
It was tiny, compared to the other pieces of magic around him, and considering how hard it was on him to fuse with that small amount, he could only imagine how truly powerful a being capable of holding so much more was.
Kire blinked, once, twice.
'I think... only now am I truly awakened.'
