"Hey weirdo!"
"Ever heard of brushing your hair? Heh."
"I always knew monsters existed, haha!"
The girls yelled at the depressed and quiet black haired girl. Her name was Raven, and she was the freak of the playground along with her brother Chance. Although Chance was liked more than Raven, reason being, girls seem to think he's pretty cute. Even though Chance was liked more, the twins difference was only their genders, never their minds, and their personalities were a little off from each other. But besides that, they were the same person.
The girls kept laughing at Raven, with mean comments to follow.
"Hey! That's no way to treat Raven!" A high pitch voice yelled.
The girls and Raven turned to see a brown headed girl, pointing at the bullies with an angry look on her face.
"You really like this loser?" One of the bullies asked, turning her head to Raven and then back to the girl.
"She's not a loser! The only loser I see, is you!" She retorted back, dogging her feet farther into the playground rocks.
"Whatever. Later freak." The bully said, offended.
The bullies walked away to leave the brunette and Raven. Raven brought her knees to her chest and barrier her face in them, crying quietly. The brunette saw this and head towards the girl with kindness in her steps.
"Hey... are you okay?" The brunette asked Raven.
Raven only responded with sniffles and hiccups.
"You know, I think your really pretty." The brunette said.
She had a genuine smile on her face as she knelt down to Ravens level. Where Raven lifted her head up slightly, peeking through the little hole she made between her elbows and knees.
"R-Really?..." Raven asked. Hoping she wouldn't be lying just to get her to come out.
"Really." The brunette smiled.
Raven untucked her head from her knees and Ravens dark brown eyes were met with light green eyes.
"I'm Raven..." Raven said quietly, looking to the side shyly.
"Emae! Emae Osakura!" The brunette smiled.
Raven hadn't really known her that well, but for some reason, she was drawn to that smile and it tempted her to smile.
Raven knew that they would be friends 'till the end.
