Chapter 13 - Player's Unknown BattleGround Ghost Edition

The pressure the air was putting on Calvin could be compared to one hundred needles simultaneously piercing his body every millisecond. Calvin could barely manage to see around him because of the speed he is travelling at in air. He turned his head a little bit up. To his surprise, he discovered there were a multiple thousand of people flying around tossed by different planes. He tried to look for Ilyes, but his inner mind suggested him to save himself first. Suddenly, he heard a voice from the west. It was Ilyes.

Ilyes enjoying his ride: "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Like always, Ilyes seemed to enjoy the adventure. Calvin knows him so well that he was sure that Ilyes was thinking he was playing PUBG in real life. Now Calvin had to think about how he could unlock the parachute.

Calvin worried: "Calm down, Calm down. There should be a parachute, Right? It doesn't make sense if there wasn't. Let's check this seat."

He began investigating his seat, but due to the pressure the air was putting on him, he didn't know what he was touching. As he began to freak out, others managed to deploy their parachute. Which in return increased Calvin's frustration.

Calvin: angry: "WHERE!? WHERE!?... IM RUNNING OUT OF TIME!"

All of a sudden, a figure passed by Calvin, Black hair, white skin, it was a beautiful young woman. Calvin couldn't see her properly, her face seemed blurred to him because of the circumstances. At that moment, in a split of a second, she pointed to her seatbelt.

*POOOF!*

Her parachute deployed, her speed slowed dramatically as Calvin could only see her from below. He continued his race to the earth, but now he knew the trick.

Calvin a little bit calm than before: "Ok, Ok. The seatbelt. I have to figure out how to unlock it."

The time is on, Calvin was trying his best to unlock the parachute.

Calvin: "Finally, I found it!"

As Calvin pressed the button, he unlocked the seatbelt, not the parachute. A dangerous situation where he would be separated from the seat.

Calvin: "FUCK! It was the other button!"

He held tightly with his hand the seatbelt as he was approaching the earth dangerously, he tried to reach the other part of the belt with his left hand. The effort could be compared to climbing a mountain. At last, he reached it.

Calvin: "NOW!"

*POOF!*

The parachute was deployed, but the moment of joy didn't last as he was near the ground level. There was a forest, Calvin hoped that the trees would save him from certain death. A few seconds passed before he collided with the trees and bushes.

Calvin hurt: "ARGH-AIE-OH-AAAA!"

He hit the ground. Miraculously, he survived. Unfortunately, he broke his arm. He was down, trying to process what happened to him, he returned to his senses seconds after. He was in pain, because of his left arm. He barely managed to get up, as he was doing so, he heard a loud voice.

"The trial begins now! Good luck!"

Calvin had more than the trial to worry about, he glanced at his arm, he couldn't move it at all. He had no choice but to continue like this, he started to look for the tower but he couldn't find it, The forest was so dense.

Calvin: "Oh great! I don't know where to go now. Let's keep calm, I'll need to find a way out of the woods."

At that moment, a weird sound triggered by the seat, in a small pocket. Intrigued by it, Calvin went to investigate that small pocket only to find out it was a compass. It pointed to a direction and it had a logo that represented a mini-tower.

Calvin: "That's it! All I need to do is to take the path to the tower."

Little he knew that the forest was so big that a few hours were already passed. He walked, walked, walked, walked and the exit is nowhere to be seen. After a while, he was exhausted and his arm hurt him so much. In addition, the sun had set. Leaving him with no proper light. He decided to set a fire, he picked up a bush, gathered some leaves, with a lighter he made a small fire.

Calvin tired: "What should I do? I can't carry on like this. Do I stop here? But what if the time limit is tomorrow. No, the guy on the plane didn't mention anything about it. He only said that we have to go to the tower as fast as possible. Wait, what if everyone has already arrived there..."

Calvin was thinking though, he was indecisive about carrying on or sleeping the night. Suddenly, four figures appeared before Calvin. It was the scare faced guy.

"Luck is on our side, look at what we found. hehe," He giggled.

"He is alone, The ABS destructor isn't with him. And look, Derek. His arm is injured." His sidekick declared.

Calvin: "I don't need an unnecessary problem, mind your business, I'll mind mine."

Derek shamelessly: "Do you think this is a school playground. We are opponents, I'll crush right here, right now. It called to eliminate the competition."

"YEAH!" Yelled the other guys proudly.

"YOU!" Angry Calvin.

As they approached Calvin, another figure emerged from the woods. He was a Korean guy, he had black eyes, black hair, he had an average height. He had a long 4/6 parted hairstyle, a mysterious aura emitted from him.

"Humph"

As soon as they saw him, they were petrified in their places.

"It's Chin-Hae!" he pointed at him.

Derek: "Let's go, we have nothing to do here."

They left the place in a hurry, a sound of relief for Calvin. But he was still worried because of what he had witnessed. This Chin-Hae sound dangerous, his presence alone gives Calvin a creepy feeling. He decided to engage in a conversation with him.

Calvin: "Thanks, man. I owe you one."

Chin-Hae: "Humph, don't get it wrong. I only hate the weak getting picked on."

He didn't sound very friendly but he didn't sound like he would do harm to him either.

Chin-Hae: "You better get going... If you want to stay alive... Farewell."

And he disappeared into the woods, Calvin thought that it was futile to spend the night. He decided to continue his path to the forest, at his surprise, it didn't take much time before he found the exit.

Calvin motivated: "Yes! Finally!"

The moon was so bright, what he saw after left him in shock, it was a town. Not your typical city, it had 1980 London architecture. And the tower was just behind it, it was very big, her height extended to the sky. Very Beautiful too see, it gave Calvin some motivation to continue his path. After a while, he arrived there exhausted. To his reception, a maid he found at the gate.

"Congratulations on making it, let me help you and guide you to your room." She offered to him.

Calvin accepted right away, he let himself guided by her. On his road, he saw other competitors happy they made it, his mood lifted up. They entered a sophisticated building, she gave him, new clothes and she gave him a shoulder sling for his arm. Calvin was offered a bath but he refused as he wanted to get some sleep. She guided him to his room.

"Tomorrow, the competition will end. Good night and sleep well" She left.

Once in it, Calvin went directly to the bed, he threw himself on it. Many thoughts crossed his brain at that moment, on Ilyes, on Kamo and others.

Calvin: "I should get some rest."

At that moment, he felt uncomfortable sleeping. It was the compass, he removed it from his pocket. But he noticed something strange. The tower logo became red. At first, he thought because he cleared the mission. Unfortunately, he remembered something crucial.

(Your goal is to reach the tower as quickly as possible!)

Calvin: "Wait, I didn't reach the tower! Does that mean the trial is still on?"

(Tomorrow, the competition will end. Good night and sleep well.)

He looked quickly to the clock, It's 23:05!

Calvin: "Sleep well, my ass! It's a trap!"
