Chapter 1 - 0001:

Chapter 0001: A Baby's Year

~Day 1

I am born in this world they call Origin. In Origin, there are five regions that divide the Primal Continent. It is then surrounded by a large body of water called the Void Sea.

In each of these regions, there are different races that live, various minerals, and numerous plants and animals that vary differently from each region. In the current region that I am living, the Vestri region is known for being the largest region in Origin and is home for humans and other lesser races such as goblins, kobolds, orcs, and others.

How did I know all of these?

It's because I read it from my father's head.

What I mean by that? Well, I mean exactly just what I have said. I read it on my father's head.

Or should I say, I read my father's mind, and now I know what he knows.

How old I am?

Technically,

I am just a baby.

After all, I am just born today.

~Day 10

It's me again and I am back.

I have forgotten to introduce myself a week ago, but no worries since I have only chosen a name earlier.

My name is Ace Pathfinder, Ace is my name while Pathfinder is kinda just like an additional name I casually added.

Just kidding, that's my father's last name.

A pretty cool one for a last name, right? I also think so.

Anyways, my parents must be idiots since I still hadn't seen them panic when I was floating around the house.

But rather, they were even happy seeing me fly, saying something like,

"Ace is so intelligent, he can already walk at the age of ten days."

I think all of my parents' intelligence we're sucked by me. I do feel a little guilty about this.

~Day 20

My parents are not really going to panic, are they?

It had almost been a month since I was born, but from my birth up to this day, my parents are always smiling at me, without a sense of alienation in their eyes.

From what I can see in their eyes, they see me as their son.

From what I can read in their minds, they think of me as their son.

From what I can feel in their hearts, they love me as their son.

This really touched my heart that it made me teared up a little.

Anyways, I am already conversing with my parents through telepathy.

It was really hard at first but when I get a hang of it, it was not such a big thing at the end.

Aside from telepathy, I can also do telekinesis, levitation, and pyrokinesis.

Pyrokinesis is the hardest one for me right now though, I still can't really control as to how strong the flames I make will be or would it be even alright for me to play with fire.

I can still feel that my powers will just keep on increasing as I grow up, but why do new abilities keep on appearing almost every day?

~Day 30

I want to celebrate my one month's birth but sadly, it is not the appropriate time to celebrate right now.

Father is leaving for a mission.

He is not some sort of high ranking official, nor a Hero of a kingdom.

He is just but an average adventurer at Alpha rank.

Okay, he is not that average but he is not that high ranking either. What is even more bothering is that just how the heck did my old man caught the eyes of my overly beautiful and talented mother.

Reading her mind, I then found out.

It's the case of a 'saving a damsel in distress'.

My old man was really lucky to have saved my mother when she was at her weakest state and they both ended up falling in love with each other which lead to them marrying and settling down in this city and giving birth to me.

I got a little bit off-topic so let's continue.

My father and his group received a mission from the guild, personally recommended by the guild master.

If I say so myself, my old man is really strong that is why he is the leader of their group and is trusted by the guild master.

My mother, on the other hand, is crying buckets of tears as she and father hugged each other. Of course, I am between them, hugged in the middle.

I have already told them that they don't have anything to worry about as I can just connect both of them with my telepathy so they can still talk to each other every day.

I guess they are not used to this kind of thing that they have forgotten about it.

Anyways, my new abilities are long-distance telepathy and linked telepathy.

~Day 40

It had already been a week since father had left for his mission, and according to him, he had already finished their mission and he is now on his way back home together with his group.

Mother is now feeling fine knowing that father is going back and was really happy that she had already started cooking father's favorite dishes. This also happens to be my favorite dishes so I helped her taste her foods.

Their everyday talk also helped with calming mother down as she didn't resort to picking up my father from his mission. Which is the most common occurrence when I was still not born.

I pitied father for all he had been through.

Anyways, I received five new abilities this time. I am even thinking of not counting the abilities I receive since it seems to be unending.

These five abilities are clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairempathy, clairgustance, and clairolfactory.

These new abilities of mine are the augmented version of my five senses; sight, hearing, feeling, taste, and smell.

I am still a beginner in controlling these abilities so I cannot use them effectively at the moment. But the good thing is that they will be really helpful for me in the future.

My control over my pyrokinesis had already improved greatly that I can control fire like the back of my hand.

It's not a big deal for me to roast a living man to ashes.

~Day 50

Father had arrived four days ago together with his group. Who are all surprised to see a floating baby, fortunately though, they are as dumb as my father so no harm done.

There are five members in my father's group, including him, there are six members in their group.

Two are females while the rest are all males. They are all married though and have their own lives, but they can still be together like in their younger days.

I have to admit that my father is really great at making friends.

Their group consisted of a sword-wielder, a healer, a mage, a rogue, an archer, and a knight.

A pretty balanced party with each member having their own roles.

With my father as the group leader, he is the sword-wielder by the way.

The vice leader is the healer since she is one of the most vital roles in their group.

The rogue is their scout and is also a trap master.

The mage is their main damaging member and is also quite knowledgeable so he is also regarded as a walking library and the adviser of their group.

The archer is an effeminate man, which I almost mistook as a woman, luckily for him, I felt what he was feeling so I avoided an awkward situation. He is really a good archer though since he is really observant, he was also the first one to notice that I was floating.

Yey! Good for him.

Lastly, the knight is the last female in their group. She serves as the main damage receiver in their group, her weapon of choice is a sword and a large shield, about two times her own size.

I must say, she has some strong arms right there.

They stayed for three days in our house and only had just left this morning.

I found out that they have their own sons and daughters and I get this feeling that I may be meeting them soon.
