Woah mothers so cool. What a good line.
Suppressing his anger the leader said "We know you're traveling with 2 little brats. They are probably hiding somewhere near aren't they?" The second he ask that mothers face changed.
"You have the nerve to be looking for children? What great soldiers indeed." Hearing that their cover was blown some of the men were flustered. Then a wave of brown energy rushed out from mother and passed over each of the soldiers. "Wow, you have the nerve to come for my family with only one of you being adept. The rest of you are all Tier 1 and 0, what, martial artists? Hahaha knowing how poor Baron White is, the martial arts you do know is probably garbage anyway. Hahaha boys you two should be able to handle them I'll handle the leader." With that she charged at the leader.
I immediately stop time in my dimension look around and see that there is only a big box of flourishing plants, a wood fairy, some water, and an army of treants. So I immediately teleport to one side of their enforcement while landing the 70+ treants and Amen smack in the middle.
"Forests Assault!!!" Without another word Amen leads the treants in a head on assault against the soldiers, root spikes and branches flying everywhere. All the while I prance around outside of the skirmish shooting compressed balls of space at my opponents. Then using repulsion on them to cause them to explode. Within a minute all the soldiers were put down and we only lost around 20 of the treants.
All that was left was mother and the leader. So I send all of the remaining treants, some of whom seem to have leveled up, back into my space and me and Amen go to watch the battle.
The battle between 2 Tier 2 warriors with magic powers is on another level. Me and Amen can't even get close enough to want to participate. On one side an illusory mountain but on the other an almost fully materialized tree. It is obviously clear who is stronger and it isn't long before mother is about to finish it.
The soldier standing there with a shell shield on his back. While mother stands in the distance brandishing a wooden staff with an emerald embedded.
"Casket!" Right as mother cast her imprisonment skill a dark shadow rushes out from the shadows of the forest attempting to rescue the lead soldier. But before he can get to him a root spike appears and trips him up.
Seeing this I look to Amen, who just stands there as if he's proud of himself. Mother then approaches the casket and does a weird hand sign and then the casket separates into 2 little snakes that slither into the mouths of the two soldiers killing them both. She then turns to us and stomps. When she stomped all of the corpses were swallowed by the ground as if it were quicksand.
All that could be seen were their weapons and bags. With a wave of my hand they all disappeared into my space.
"Keep the weapons they will come in handy in arming our army." She said with a wink. "As for the bags we'll sort through them when we arrive. As for now let us hurry. Tepp teleport us as much as possible I much prefer that than walking." With that we set back off.
The third day arrived and we kept walking straight, without stopping.
"Eeeekk"
From the distant sky, a hawk the size of a diesel, began descending towards them.
"It's a sky king. Mom we are gonna ride a sky king?" Paying no attention to my excited questioning mother made her way up to the hawk and began to pet him.
"Hello, Lester." She said. Wait so the sky king is Lester. As she jumped to his back she called for us to come to. When we got up, I could immediately feel my stomach turn. Ugh I guess my aversion to heights carried over.
When we began ascending I could feel the dark edges of my sight collapsing in as everything began to fade to black.
I awoke with a start which scared Amen nearly knocking him off of the bird.
"Boys, stop fooling around we are arriving." Mother reprimanded. As the big hawk began its descent I took a peek over its shoulder.
New Zohantian, the biggest city on this side of the kingdom. I can recognise that skyline anywhere. I have seen it in so many books, but no book can compare to the real thing. And what a city, indeed.
Big walls and tall buildings everywhere with a lot of security and foot traffic. The city is so big that there are castles inside of it. Those must belong to the clans, but there are so many. I guess mother was serious.
Upon a hill with lush and well kept green grass lies a grand castle of pure white jade, lined with gold. That must be the dukes palace. Beautiful.
On the north side of the city, a castle of pure and glossy wood. That I believe is our destination. While the wood can't compare to some of the other castles, it still gives off the aura of majesty and power.
At the landing spot stands the same granny from the other day with three attendants. She tosses a piece of meat to Lester and then looks to us.
"Welcome, young ones, glad you all made it safe. Now, hurry the Patriarch is waiting. Darius here will show you to your things and get you up to date on the situation."
Darius took us to our villa which was a 4 story house with a training yard, a library, barracks and servant housing. He also informed us that we can get our own servants or have some provided by the clan. Which mother tactfully declined.
She told us to get our own servants who we can trust, which is reasonable. He then led us to the main castle. The castle of Yami the Darkwood Assassin.
The wood the castle is made up of is smooth as marble but hard as diamond. As we walked through the halls we slowly made our way to the conference room taking in the aura of our new home.
In the conference room, there is a throne in the front where the Patriarch and the matriarch sit and no other seating. So there we stood waiting on the Patriarch to enter.
